Rather like increasing dividends people and the market expect them to stay rising, if they do not, the share price falls.

So interests rates will not tumble, those people will still have large mortgage payments and rent to pay out, they will not build the 1.5 million homes and by homes do they actually mean crammed in, tower blocks full of bed sits, as this bank and others are aiming to do.

On the house building lie, when the post war governments did start to demolish the slums and rebuild there was one LARGE difference, the population! the Population was stable it was around the 50 million mark and stable.

I mentioned several times in the past that we make nothing that affects our ability to pay our way in the world. But some on here questioned my statements.

A service economy requires an ever expanding population to provide a customer base and those to service those customers, a self fulfilling spiral to the bottom. We not only drag in people, but also the material things, to provide for those people, so we just import more and more. In the process of ever more importation, we make those we purchase from wealthier.

For some reason some so called worldly investors on this board can not join the dots, in what makes a service economy.

1.Agricultural economies.

2.Manufacturing economies.

3.Resource economies, such as Australia which dig from the ground out the things the manufacturing economies need..

4. Services economies just sell to each other within that economy and shove FIAT money around and become money laundering hubs for international criminals .

Keynes in the 1930s said an expanding service economy is not feasible in the long term.

One must wonder who taught our politicians economics at their universities !
