Does that also include the transaction carried out by the North African slavers who took millions of Europeans into slavery in Africa? And they took slaves from Southern England and Ireland.
Africans like to say that we stole their wealth, well how much wealth did they place on gold and diamonds, copper, nickel, etc? We went and found the minerals and placed a value on them, not the Africans! if we had never found them they would still be in the ground. Empire is a very emotive thing, do you think the African nations we colonised would have preferred the Germans, French, Belgians, or the sword-wielding Japanese e to have got there first? The Russians were very into empires and had their eyes on India. And why do people have some misguided thought that only Europeans can claim to have Empires?
It is just because we were the last, that is all, the Zulus had their little empires and slaughtered about 1.5 million, which was from a much population than today, Lots of African nations/tribes had their own little empires, some like to brag about them. The Middle East was just one empire in flux for thousands of years, every nation there had a turn at dominating the others. China had an Empire and Emperors &Empresses. Closer to home England and Wales were part of the Roman empire, did you not learn that at school? South and Central American nations had empires and really nasty ones at that. We have nothing to be ashamed of, there were far worse ones than ours and so many liked us that they followed us home!

A country that pioneered jet travel now buys its aircraft from the Americans or Airbus, practically everything we and the world need we invented or contributed to creating it, now we buy it in.
A country homogenous and once relatively peaceful and law-abiding now striven with racial and religious divides, a country where racial. sexual, political, and environmental minorities make the rules for the majority. A country where it is now not uncommon for politicians to use defamatory language against opponents and their voters, language which could see others prosecuted.
There are many great countries in this world, and they do not all have a seat at a big table at the UN. That are just the lasting effects of WW2, does Germany or Japan have seats, another left over from WW2? And the present non-permanent members of the security council are a joke. Soft power you say, which is economic and cultural, political well we are skint but still hand out money, and that is about it.

Please address Starmer, correctly as a true man of the workers, he prefers Sir Keir Starmer, and I am sure his wife likes being addressed as Lady Starmer. We are all equal in the Labour party it is just a lot more equal and vainer than others.

Put something on social media that comes under the heading "hate" and two officers will appear at your doorstep, making threats. And so many of today's police officers appear to have criminal records themselves or will have one by the time they leave the force. It is not just more officers we need but better caliber officers from the top down.

On what scale, I do remember some rioting in London, by the usual suspects and it was reported by the press that many East Europeans were helping themselves to widescreen TVs.
But have what can be termed rioting every week in some areas, knives, machetes, baseball bats and none of the perpetrators look that English. The only English-looking idiots are those causing roadblocks and is it a coincidence those idiots have only taken to saving the planet after they got bored with waving EU flags? Everyone should remember every opposition party wants the country to fail, that is their key to getting elected.
That is the irony of the Labour party and it is that it is lost on its core voters whom in any downturn feel the effects most.
In socialism, the poor must suffer to enable their saviors to rise and save them, to achieve the socialist goal the poor must always be there, erase them and you erase the need for a socialist government.
Why even today over100 years since the revolution most Russians are in what we would call in the UK poor, most outside of the cities still chop wood for heating and cooking, most roads are unpaved.

This country is well off the track as intended by the political classes.
We have been run by politicians/civil servants who have some desire to see this country go down. We are broke but can still find billions for foreigners, £1.2 million so far just for interpreters for Albanians, they are not escaping war have passed through several EU countries and are mostly criminals, Albanians have overtaken the Turks as this country's leading drug gangs, who overtook the Jamaicans some years back. And Holland is the drug centre of the EU and Sweden is the gun crime centre of the EU. What do you think is the common denominator?
