And you will find most of those Ukrainians who have come here will never return, the Ukraine had a lower standard of living than Poland. Most immigrants either legal or illegal come here for financial benefits.

On what would have happened if the Germans had landed here, I am afraid no one will know, but Hitler did order that when Britain was conquered, it was to be a second Poland! Striped of everything its cities razed to the ground etc.
We were not to be treated as the countries who rolled over were, that would have changed the people's outlook.
But there would have been some traitors why even some Jews assisted the Germans a well-known one is George Soros and that, of course, is not his real name, but one his father chose when he and his son were assisting the Germans in rounding up other Jews in Hungary for deportation.
No comment on the Indians who changed sides there never is, perhaps the Japanese would have treated them nicely, but we will never know.
