Tosh, CGT is calculated at the "date of disposal" of an asset and has nothing to do with when you withdraw money from your broker account!

I suspect the MM's are accumulating shares in readiness to hike the price and sell them to all the new ISA money on Monday.

I still doubt any payments will turn up but surely if the $50m was put in Escrow then that money should be shared amongst those shareholders on the register at the time it was placed in Escrow. Any new shareholders on the register appearing after that date should not be entitled to any of that money.

The gold here is pretty much on the back burner for now as COBR are focusing on their REE's.

I'm confused by the tiny rise on this great news.

The news is always great and we're stuck on a measly market cap.

REEs seem to be hot news with the US seemingly desperate to get their hands on some so fingers crossed that brings some interest here.

Congratulations Rupert on these initial results but please get that MRE done asap.

For all that aren't aware, Rupert quotes an investment case in his presentations using Meteoric Resources as a case study which went from A$22m to A$480 when all the components were proven.

I think they've only promised the results for the first 20 holes in February. i.e. The ones drilled in December.

Fingers crossed the initial results start to bring some momentum here.

For the honest investors:

Point 1) "probably not that long" because GBP are looking for a partner to drill the "drill ready" Marula Prospect. Why would a partner invest in a project and then waste time?

GBP also state they are looking for a 100% contribution to the Marula well so the cost to GBP would be £0.

GBP are also looking for a "Contribution to past costs on the license" so the JV deal would have a positive effect on the bank balance rather than TryBuy's inferred negative affect.

5p only gives a MCap of £35m. If all goes well over the next 18 months I'd have thought this would be worth at least 3x that.

I’m not an expert but I would suggest getting some more floating plant cover. Something like frogbit is a good bet. The cover stops the light getting in to the pond which helps regulate the water temperature and algae blooms during sunny periods. I try to keep mine as natural as possible and never have to use my pump.

If you go for a pump make sure it’s a wildlife one or it might suck in tadpoles/ baby newts etc.

Unfortunately without knowing the mechanics of any distribution we can’t put it to bed.

There are usually two ways for a company to distribute its cash to shareholders.

The first is the traditional dividend approach which would result in dividend tax for shareholders

The second is for the company to buy back some or all of its shares. This would result in CGT for shareholders.

Without knowing the mechanism chosen nobody can know what tax is applicable yet.

If anything does come from this my preference would be a share buy back as then you can at least offset your original investment against CGT

If anything actually transpires my guess is that it would appear as a dividend rather than a capital gain.

Either way is a bit of a bummer seeing as my shares were moved out of my isa when the company delisted.

I don’t think there’s been any mention of any share related transactions so im thinking it wont be a cgt situation.

Just guessing though as any return from here is a bonus.

Maybe they just opened the short so it gets registered and can be seen. The short would clearly play on the mind of potential buyers and therefore supress the price when good news arrives.
This would give them time to accumulate lots at 14p without causing a spike in the price.
When they have what their after they can just close the short so it disappears. Everyone thinks "hey the shorts closed" and starts buying and the price goes up and they make a huge profit on everything they bought at 14p.

Just a thought as I have no idea really.

AB - If you believe the shareholders and people interested in the company don't really understand what we have at LCCM then you should start your interview by saying "we've had many years to tell people what we have at LCCM but we apologise because we have clearly done a very poor job of explaining it".

If shareholders and potential investors had been educated by yourselves over the last few years we wouldn't be languishing at the 0.3p share price level.

Please take some responsibility and spend some time educating potential investors if you think they don't understand! Education is the responsibility of the BOD!
