MT. I kind of get what your saying however I would think something would be brewing if the whole market was down n we were up. Most Oiler’s dropped very little and some finished up. Also volume very light. However I’m happy to go sleep thinking something is brewing .... let’s iust hope it’s not Yorkshire tea lol.

Herminator. He’s basically saying not enough shares ( liquidity ) so any few buys or sells moves the sp and also trying to buy loads at a time is difficult aswell as selling.

Hi NTL. Good to have you here. Personally I’m shocked that the £400m they paid for Eland has vanished .... you are getting Eland for free sat current sp. I personally think that seplat will be taken over ..... too much upside potential here and as I mentioned in my previous post these guys could be doing 150,000 bopd in a few years. Now imagine that production with oil above $60 a barrel .... dare I say some reports predict oil will overshoot in a few years towards $100. Well if that happens you have a £5 a share minimum or a 10 x bagger

WS I think your about right with them production numbers. Also I’ve just read spirit have been involved in the massive oil find off the Norwegian coast and probably increased its value a little. The sooner AA can get hold of spirit the better but CNA are no mugs and feel they will wait to get fair value atleast. On that note anyone got updates regards to the Exxon fields ??? I think now would be a great time for AA to snatch the best fiends from Exxon

Ammu, I’m sure production for spirit was around the 60-80,000 bopd.

Also costs were around $11 boe so quids in. Looks like rre will have to wait. Don’t know if you guys remember me saying before we should buy up smaller assets n stay debt free but such is the devaluation out there I’ve changed my stance and think RRE should swallow a big pill and then when oil / gas price picks up be seriously in the money.

Maverick. Would you spend $1b to takeover a Compsny that throws off $500m free cash flow each year with oil at $45-50 ? Oil will never stay below $30 for more than a 3-4 months at best from here. In my opinion it will settle mid 30s with year end high 40s. Next year I see oil rising to $50 + The time for RRE is to strike now but nobody will sell up so cheaply. Maverick mentioned Tlw having to sell Uganda asset because of debt .... the problem was debt is at 2.6 Billion and that’s -£1.40 a share ...... minus £1.40 a share with the sale bringing in 31p a share .... not to mention assets of the company are all in Africa. Companies like Tlw take on too much debt to grow .... RRE taking on a little debt now could be a good move especially with assets at 50-60% below real value at the moment. Appreciate the message whirlawstones. Nice to know some decent people out there. Hold for gold here chaps.

I have a similar holding and I think your in the money bigtime.

A few issues though, first of all any acquisition won’t have that triple your money feel to it as the marathon deal.

Also any gains will be based of revenue / profits and I would say anything is achievable but it’s just not the same as before Corona ..... if you hold your 7k shares for 2 years I can guarantee you will minimum triple your money but maybe just maybe if they gonfor spirit energy then it’s gona take a lot less time to get to targets.

Personally after reading what centrica had to say .... it will be minimum 6 months or even early 2021 before they sell spirit. I guess it’s the same everywhere .... companies will just not cave in to offers especially when they were valued at 2-3 times only a few weeks ago.

Hold for gold is the motto here. I’ve stopped posting as I have gone through major personal issues along with being seriously under with my investment and I find it pointless repeating the same thing again n again.

Lonestag. I get we are hedged the market don’t care. Also sellers push price down and buyers push price up .... basic rules of the market.

Would luv to get an update on Arran from shell. I did see we have reduced capex this year by $80m so this all points towards one thing ....... big acquisition will happen .... there’s no organic growth guarantee with the volatility of oil / gas prices so buying low production assets is the ONLY way forward.

Dare I say we could probably go full tilt for 100% of spirit with a reduced valuation of say $1b now compared to $1.5b a few months ago. Here’s hoping.

Looking at centrica and it’s last trading statement they clearly outlined that spirit energy sale has been delayed because of the low valuation of oil/ gas.

They said they will wait for the market to pick up .... we will acquire something one day but the volatility is crazy out there.

Also rre hard done by because gas prices were hit hard last night down 5% so I guess it’s a knock on effect. Funny how my posts many months ago come back to fruition and investors still predicting day to day sp movements.

Actually thinking of it you are all in lockdown so can be forgiven for clogging up the board with £9-£9.50 guesses.

The secret here is and I will tell you for free ..... load up .... load up some more ..... squeeze every bit in here .... you MUST wait atleast 6 minths+ for commodities to pick up and people to return to norm ..... then we will go bang with acquisition.

I can see seplat bring either taken over by NNPC or £4 a share in 2022.

Not to forget the production increase from Eland acquisition to kick in over the next few years. It will take sep production to over 200, 000bopd come 2022-23

Hi herminator. I am also watching and am shocked that people are not active here. I know eland well after holding but sold out way before at 80p years ago before the t/o.

This is technically the biggest bargain on the market where by they bought Eland for £400m and that £400m has gone missing from the market cap so basically Eland is now for free ........ mind boggling.

Personally I’m waiting for one last push on oil down and feel 40p is very much on here. Only negative I can see is Nigerian government payments to Eland might be delayed hence making investment a risk.

Looks like gaming great potential but reality is nobody will rush to farm in here for a while. Companies are focused on surviving at the moment.

Although it looks promising it’s one to revisit in a few months time as there are better short term opportunities out there.

I think whilst most eyes have been on oil and it’s decline along with the obvious virus effects sround the world I can sense a major major peak coming in materials and mining.

There had been a silly amount of money / stimulus being handed out not to mention the $2tr trump will push out.

The materials will over shoot on the upside albeit late this year and really kick on early / mid next year when results blow expectations.

It’s all about timing, I feel there is another leg down before end of April as the US economy contracts and enters a recession.

My entry target here is £1 and exit is £3.50 in 2022 jan
