Hi LTI,
The whole share market is predicated on supply/demand, fear/greed at any price level. So if there are no shares available at a particular price, the MMs have to raise the bid to get investors/traders to sell up. Basically, make them an offer that some can't/don't want to refuse. So as long as the company does not keep issuing new shares, there is only a limited supply of shares in a company to be bought and sold. What is available for ready sale/purchase is called the "free float" and it is this quantum that gives liquidity to the market. So once this free float pool gets smaller, the price hikes get larger. Don't forget that various serious investors/Institutions, Board of Directors, large PIs etc would already hold a decent chunk of shares that are unlikely to come onto the market...so they are not available.
If there is good news of any sort, then it sets off a scramble for shares.. all investors/traders jousting to get their fill and that ramps up the share price. This is the stage we appear to be at IMHO.
Good luck...we are in a very interesting space. Next 12-18 months in CYAN will be life changing for many, if they play it right and there is no force majeure.
