To set the record straight before some pranksters speculate...they were buys and they were mine. At this inflection point for CYAN, it is an absolute no brainer for me....I'm in for the long haul. A drop of a penny+ at this stage is due to forward sold and 'stop hunting" and is par for the course. I took the 252k of Finncap who seem to be holding onto stock really tight ?
Wonder why ? Good luck all !
"Tree shake" I guess....as there is little stock available, MMs have to try and build up their inventory of CYAN shares by making nervous holders sell up (to sell on a mark up when there is favourable news and pretty imminent).
They do this by dropping the bid price in a steady step by step fashion, to give the impression that there are far too many sellers...and also helps MMs hoover up stock released by the triggering of stop losses.
Standard Operating Procedure for MMs to hoover up stock (usually before expected favourable news). If you intend to hold for the long term, this is a sure sign to buy more shares.
That's what I am doing :)
Hi Pedro90 ! Lovely to see you posting again.
All a lot more positive for CYAN now...just awaiting funding news which shouldn't be long. This is a classic buy the story moment...not to be missed !
Good luck :)
Aren't all forecasts and calculations based on many assumptions and invariably coloured by subjectivity of the person who does the sums and reaches the calculations ?
As to what is fair value - it is a stock market after all and it is ruled by sentiment to a huge degree. Look at the likes of VRS and PRSM... do they really justify the SP that they trade in the market for ?
If the Indian side of CYAN goes as anticipated and some other revenue like UK Smets2 , Rest of World, White Label and Support and Maintenance Revenue go to plan, we could see a share price in £s over the next several years. Long way to go undoubtedly, but definite potential to become a great British company :)
More to come is all that I will say :)
CYAN straining against the leash.....MM can't hold this SP surge for much longer IMHO and certainly not if there is clarity on funding or further contracts. TMMs trying to shake out stubborn holders with whipsawing the bid....take your fill, time appears to be running out at this point !
Good luck all :)
Good morning tonyj and all :)
Finncap seems to indicate revenue forecast for 2018 at £8m. So a lot of revenue catching up in H2 to do, but we seem to be on our way. I think a lot depends on whether the "white label" deal can be monetised/revenue recognised this financial year.
I was hoping for the funding announcement to be settled this morning, but has not arrived as yet. Given that we should have about £1m in the bank or thereabouts now, the funding window is pretty tight from a calendar point of view. I am not at all worried that we will have difficulty in raising what is needed/desirable.
We look set for another interesting day and the SP pressure is building up - Finncap can't hold the price indefinitely !
Good luck all :)
Hi LTI,
The whole share market is predicated on supply/demand, fear/greed at any price level. So if there are no shares available at a particular price, the MMs have to raise the bid to get investors/traders to sell up. Basically, make them an offer that some can't/don't want to refuse. So as long as the company does not keep issuing new shares, there is only a limited supply of shares in a company to be bought and sold. What is available for ready sale/purchase is called the "free float" and it is this quantum that gives liquidity to the market. So once this free float pool gets smaller, the price hikes get larger. Don't forget that various serious investors/Institutions, Board of Directors, large PIs etc would already hold a decent chunk of shares that are unlikely to come onto the market...so they are not available.
If there is good news of any sort, then it sets off a scramble for shares.. all investors/traders jousting to get their fill and that ramps up the share price. This is the stage we appear to be at IMHO.
Good luck...we are in a very interesting space. Next 12-18 months in CYAN will be life changing for many, if they play it right and there is no force majeure.
Hi primesymian - there is a need for funding. However, there are many routes to secure funding. Equity dilution is the one route that most companies take and historically CYAN as well - leading to some understandably embittered long term investors.
I gather that equity dilution does not appear to the preferred route to secure funds...so let' see what happens. I don't see the fund raise a negative at this stage to be honest. Hence, my continued buying.
Good luck :)
Hi LTI,
On the Level 2 screen...the default position is usually "continuous trading". However, when there is demand on volume, the message "periodic auction call" comes up and replaces the continuous trading message. This has happened a few times today already. So it appears to reflect buying pressure.
The trades/transaction display can be misleading (you may recall that my trades from the last few weeks were being fed/timed to make it appear like a "sell", when it was the opposite. It is the same now, I would imagine. Though the offer price was 15.25p a little while ago, I paid about 16.29p ( about £14088.88) for about 89k shares (I don't know the exact details, as I am getting an error message when I am trying to access the transaction).
So in my view, the MMs are getting nervous about not having enough stock to mark up / flog if there is a positive RNS tomorrow or in the next few days. Nothing concrete, just my reading of the tea leaves.
CYAN is poised to go much higher very shortly !! (I would say that wouldn't I) - leaving some folk drained of colour and/or bounce and possibly rattling in a busker's tin.
Good luck all :)
This is a tree shake in operation. There are no shares to be had and MMs are getting pretty desperate it looks like. Could be that we have a funding RNS tomorrow and MMs are getting nervous !!
Actual price to buy in any decent quantity is about 16.29p....I know ;)
Good luck all !
tonyj, when I posted it that is what Level 2 was displaying....Periodic auction call :)
Now only Finncap left with 3000 shares left at 16.20p....
CYAN in periodic auction call now - confirms there are some large buyers in the market IMHO :)
Looks like we could hit 16.75-17p by end of the day !
Great news mozax...really tight liquidity. Won't be surprised with a +3p close in that case :)
Good luck all...this looks just like the start of the upward journey....
Good morning LTI/tonyj, Pedro and all :)
Fine morning so far...price action seems to indicate some kind of favourable happening in the background. My gut feel is that funding (whatever shape it comes in ) terms for us have been better than market was generally expecting.
Good luck all :)
Coiled spring.....my post from Friday early morning My money am Level 2 playing up... so can't see the real action. May be funding has been agreed.... at a premium ?? :))
Good morning LTI !
Lovely morning here in Yorkshire !
It is a very interesting time for us and CYAN - funding issue and revenues to year end will determine where we go next with the share price. I am increasingly confident that full financial year effect of 2019 will be the real inflection point and when the market will take us seriously. Till then though we will make good progress, the SP could remain in the 20-25p range I reckon. However, the fact that we have revenue recognisable contracts coming out of India could blow my assumptions out of the water sooner than I expect.
But increasingly reassured and confident that the worst is behind us...onwards and upwards :)
Joining the dots of Anil's interview, investor presentation and announcement of contracts etc recently sounds like the funding issue is being settled. I think we will have an announcement next week and my guess is around £5m. Just gut feeling, nothing more.
Also agree that once the funding is settled, we could see another 3-4p added sharpish, and then the next spike on further contract/revenue news. There is hardly any stock about, so bid will have to go up fairly soon on any decent volumes.
Next week should be interesting....
Good morning tonyj and all :)
Yes I agree that we seem to be interestingly poised liquidity wise at these levels. So we could be in a "proverbial coiled spring" mode relative to usual CYAN trading patterns. Let's see what the day brings, but my money is on a decent blue result today !
Go on CYAN and indulge me :)
Good morning LTI :)
I think we have turned the corner on the runaway apron...and G-CYAN is awaiting ATC clearance for take off....IMHO :)
I respectfully disagree 1967 re need for funding far more than £5m at this time (hopefully the last time). I think we will come in around that figure and it may not be fund raising by equity dilution. I am sure the newly appointed NED and John Stamp will have a view on that. On the CYAN website profile, David Johns-Powell is presented as a Lloyds name....so worth a few hundred millions atleast I would imagine. I don't think raising the funds is an issue at fairly decent terms.
