The key commercial aspects of the Morille permits and permit area are as follows; · The Morille permit area is a 'brownfield' site and there has been a long history of the production of high quality tungsten concentrates from mineralisation grading up to 1% WO3. · The historic mines closed during the 1980's as a result of low commodity prices. Subsequently, prices have increased significantly and there is reason to believe that a significant supply shortage is developing in the tungsten market. · Now that there has been the consolidation of approximately fifty old small mines into a unified block, the Morille permits provide the first opportunity for systematic exploration of the area for tungsten. · Historical geological, exploration and production data provide excellent pointers as to where the initial exploration targets should be. · A survey carried out by two state geological surveys in the late 1990's concluded that there is a potential resource tonnage of at least 8 million tonnes across the Morille permit area, with the majority of this resource at the site of the old Alegria mine which is likely be the key initial exploration target for Aurum. · Historical data suggests that there has been over 735,000 tonnes of tungsten ore mined from the Morille permit area ranging in grade from 0.1%-1% WO3. · The old data also suggests that two of the processing plants on the Morille permit area were producing concentrate containing 70% tungsten. Even by current standards this is a high grade concentrate. · The area is served by excellent infrastructure. · The area sits within a well known tungsten province - other known deposits in the area include Barruecopardo, Panasquiera, Los Santos and Regua. The Board's optimism around the opportunity is shared by that of its technical advisers, Desarrollo de Recursos Geologicos S.A. ("DRG"), who concluded that the project 'provides more favourable conditions than those of virtually any other similar project currently underway in Europe'.

Proposed acquisition of tungsten permits The Board of Aurum Mining plc (AIM: AUR) is pleased to announce that it has given approval for the Company to exercise its option to acquire five tungsten permits (the "Morille permits") in Salamanca Province. The five permits are located 15 km southwest of the city of Salamanca and cover an area of 5,796 hectares. The Company has now completed its legal, technical and financial due diligence on the Morille permits and in addition there has also been a site visit by the Board and by the Company's broker. The cost of acquiring the permits will be €140,000, which is to be funded out of the Company's existing cash. In addition, the vendor (who is a private individual) will be retaining a 1.5% net smelter royalty. The Company is now in the process of incorporating a Spanish subsidiary to hold the Morille permits and as soon as the entity is incorporated Aurum will proceed with the formal acquisition process. As a condition precedent of the acquisition process, the transfer of the five permits to Aurum's Spanish subsidiary will be formally approved by the Mines Department of Salamanca before the consideration is paid. The Board is extremely excited about the potential of the Morille permits and feel that they will be a very attractive addition to the Company's existing gold joint venture projects which are also located in the same region of Spain.

As expected, the first half of the year was tough for cinema operator Cineworld, but Questor expects the year to have a happy ending. Despite a likely hit from the London Olympics, the film release schedule for the second half is strong. Cineworld will present a new Batman, a James Bond, a Bourne thriller and the latest Spiderman, among others. These seem like certain blockbusters. Last week's trading statement showed that, although attendances had fallen, total revenues were up by 1.1% after price rises were introduced. This caused a 4.1% increase in box office sales, which made up for a 2.1% fall in retail sales and an 18.7% fall in "other income". The 18.7% fall in other income seems steep, but it was expected. Most of the fall was down to the removal of online booking fee, which was a sensible strategic move. As well, yielding 5.75% the shares remain a buy for both income and growth, The Sunday Telegraph´s Questor team says.

Issue of shares for cash SacOil shareholders ("Shareholders") are advised that 24,578,863 new SacOil ordinary shares ("Shares") will be issued to YA Global Masters SPV Limited ("YA") at a price of R0.34 per Share (the "Issue"), pursuant to the terms of a Standby Equity Distribution Agreement between YA and SacOil and approved by Shareholders in a general meeting on 17 November 2011, raising R8.3 million (approximately US$1 million). The proceeds of the Issue will be used to fund costs in relation to potential transactions. Application has been made to the JSE Limited ("JSE") to grant a listing of the Shares and to the London Stock Exchange ("LSE") for the admission of the Shares to trading on the AIM Market ("AIM"). The listing of the Shares on the JSE and the admission of the Shares to trading on AIM are expected to take place on Tuesday, 10 July 2012. The Shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the Company's ordinary shares already in issue. SacOil's total issued share capital after the Issue will be 918 268 379 ordinary shares.

1. Update on oil concession OPL 233 Further to SacOil successfully posting a US$25 million Performance Bond (the "Bond") as part of fulfilling its obligations under the Joint Venture and Production Sharing Agreements ("PSC"), the OPL 233 joint venture partners have completed the interpretation and evaluation of the existing seismic and well data on the block. In addition, the modelling and planning of a 3D Ocean Bottom Cable ("OBC") survey was completed and finalised in Q2 2012. In preparation for the 3D seismic acquisition, the joint venture partners are now finalising the seismic contractor assessments and engagements for the acquisition. Immediately after the contract award, which is expected to be imminent, acquisition and processing will commence leading to what is anticipated to be the selection of an optimal well location. The acquisition and processing of the OBC is funded through the cash collateral of US$10 million provided by SacOil as part of the posting of the Bond.

Dividend An increased dividend for the second quarter of 11 pence per share (2011: 10 pence per share) will be paid on 11 October 2012 to shareholders on the register at 7 September 2012. Outlook Customers are continuing to place orders at a significantly higher rate than that seen in the second half of 2011. Trading Update XP Power, one of the world's leading developers and manufacturers of critical power control components to the electronics industry, is today issuing a trading update for the quarter ended 30 June 2012. Trading As detailed in both our 2011 Final Results announcement and first quarter Interim Management Statement ("IMS"), following comparatively weak order intake in the final quarter of 2011 we expected a reduction in revenues and therefore factory utilisation in the first half of 2012. Consequently, Group revenues for the six months ended 30 June 2012 decreased by 10% from the same period in 2011. In constant currency the decline was 11%. While the environment for capital goods spending remains subdued, the stronger sequential order intake first noted in the Q1 IMS has continued, with bookings for the first half of 2012 being 16% ahead of the second half of 2011. We therefore expect stronger revenues in the second half of 2012 than that achieved in the first half, as these orders enter production. Our product mix has continued to improve, with own design products representing 60% of revenue in the first half versus 55% of revenue for the first half of 2011. While this will have a positive impact on gross margins, the improvement in product mix will not be sufficient to compensate for the reduced gross margins caused by lower factory loading in the first half and the previously reported start-up costs of the new Vietnam facility. Our newly commissioned factory in Vietnam commenced production of its first magnetic components during the first quarter, as planned. We expect the Vietnam facility to reach a break even position by the end of the current financial year.
