The revised profits forecast was a lot less than expected hence why the SP is where it is now. Bucher is guilty of over discounting. As for buy ratings any investor will tell you a P/E of 7 is very low. Chart wise though the SP may well drift to the 25p range and sentiment has taken a hit. Ashley's intentions remain unclear.

Merger also a possibility?

QueenE I do not ramp simply state facts and figures. Even with a revised EPS of 4p this is trading now on a P/E of just 7. The yield is over 11% and covered 1.2x but yes may be reduced. The management is guilty of over discounting which eroded margins. Sales were only down 1-2% This can be reversed IMO Also if this was such a basket case why did Ashley go and purchase a 21% stake at 66p?

3x usual volume. Sudden rise around lunchtime as these trades went through (listed as sells). Clamp remains on though - very narrow range. Surprised no bids have come in.

Although revenue has remained steady over the years at �2.3Bn pre-tax profits have slumped from �139M in 2013 to a now revised projection of �55-�65M in 2018. Over-discounting and too many sales throughout the year is the clear reason for this and obviously needs addressing. The SP has slumped from 108p in 2013 to the low of 27p today. EPS has roughly halved but the SP has lost 75%. Projected EPS is now around 4p giving a P/E of 7.5 and a Dividend yield of 11% covered 1.2x Market cap is down to �370M As for Ashley who knows what he has been up to here - he seems like a devious chap and it was strange how the SP always dropped whenever his options converted into shares. It would not surprise me to learn he has actually been shorting this all the while. It is a dirty game after all.

42M vs 3M Did anyone else notice what seemed to be some very large trades (mainly buys) just before the close pushing the SP above 30p. Sadly no director buys as yet. There will be fire and anger at the AGM next week.
