Correction - John wasn’t made redundant from Vatic. He left Vatic in Feb and was made redundant from his next employment. Apologies

I’ve been looking through the various LinkedIn pages for Vatic staff, given Vatic itself has gone quiet, and am a bit disconcerted..

From his recent comments, Paul Trainor, head of manufacturing, supply and procurement, is clearly applying for other roles.

Jake Sylvester, Business Development Manager,is actively applying for other positions, as is Natash Sindhi, business development associate.

Since joining earlier this year, Randal Whitmore, Director of Digital Health, has set up two other companies.

John Baukham, previously the Ops and Logistics Manager, was made redundant in Feb this year.

I realise Vatic have taken some others on, notably Tom Breeze, but I’ve now reduced my holding here because all of this makes me somewhat uncomfortable. ABDX does have other irons in the fire I know…

Interesting that ODX don’t confirm how much they were paid. Surely if they were paid in full you’d expect them to say so…

Agree - would it be reasonable to think BBI and CIGA are owed an equivalent amount to ODX? If so, that’s nigh on £1.9m of the ££4.8m we got, excluding any interest/penalties we might owe them. Let’s hope the JR goes in our favour and the other £1.5m gets released into the kitty.

It does stick in the craw a bit that we’ve suffered all the reputational damage and legal costs only to achieve a partial settlement, but then still owe subcontractors in full!

Yep - I think the most likely candidate for that will be when Taiwanese EUA is granted for whatever covid test we’re branding under “Abingdon Simply”. I keep an eye on this list, but it’s not been updated since 26/5!

Then there’s Vatic but, as you say Zoom, everything’s gone quiet on that front.

ODX are owed, but will they get less than they’re entitled to given ABDX settled for less than it was owed? Presumably yes?

Worth remembering that £1.5m of that will have to go into an account, charged to the DHSC pending the JR decision.

Lots of irons in the fire here, which makes good business longer term.

For me, the greatest chance of a short term rocket would be a blend of Vatic approval, covid surges, and significant contracts. You only have to look at Innova (or even Surescreen which filed accounts a couple of weeks ago) to see what CAN happen.

Surescreen year on year revenue went from £8m to £150m, and net profit from £1.5m to £55m.

Something similar here would help move the SP methinks!

Hi all

I was invested here for a long while and felt pretty clued up on everything. I’m now looking to come back in and wonder if any of you could help with a few questions so I can get back up to speed.

It seems to me that ABDX are looking to open an online shop with a range of LFT’s, all under the Abingdon Simply Test brand. This seems a great plan to me as people take greater ownership of their own health, but who are ABDX working with to develop these tests?. I see we have agreements with Vatic and Deepverge, but also see there is a covid test ABDX are ready to supply to Arise subject to EUA in Taiwan, which appears to be manufactured in conjunction with another partner. Do we know who it is? Is it potentially the same European outfit we’re making bits for at the mo?

It just strikes me that ABDX must have a number of other partnerships, all willing to let ABDX brand their tests and sell them through the upcoming e-commerce site, but I can’t see any reference to who these might be other than Vatic/DVRG, and I can’t believe Vatic/DVRG collaborations are yet at the stage where any LFT’s can have been developed already (other than Knownow)

Finishing the build and then marketing it strongly will be key.

As far as I understand it, a company still has to abide by all the rules of AIM even if it’s shares are suspended. So we should still get any updates that would normally have to be disclosed by RNS. Happy to be corrected if that’s wrong.
