Did not think it could just be me, having lost a minimum 1% this morning I was on the phone. Just waiting for a call back myself, yes it also cost me dearly this morning too. How on earth is someone supposed to trade this way, its impossible. The Share Centre, now thats a company that has never let me down in over 10 years ! It seems that Jez has got Barclays trying to emulate them. Consolidating all your funds in one screen, it just does not work, so hence I will be pulling my savings / cash out. This also incurs me charges of approx £32 a month so I understand, just for it sitting in the account whilst waiting to re buy shares ! Barclays are obviously going to lose a lot of customers over this issue. Which in turn will kick my long term shares in the nuts again . . . which i hold with other companies for the very reason, being the banks limits of protected holdings ! I.G Spread Betting "Only issues with using Safari, must use Google" and The Share Centre can't go wrong. Stuff Barclays new platform, something else I will put across on Weds AGM. Bloody idiots all of them, brought up wet and fead with silver spoons. Cant see them changing back to the old Barclays platform, with in honesty wasn't half bad. After a long time trying to use the new rig this was my post back in May, others must have thought I'd lost the plot. Seem's like a few others are having to experience losing money now too. Why the hell have let it get out of hand ! It would be nice to see some sort of an apology from Barclays. Maybe they are becoming as arrogant and self righteous as some of the ex board members !

Imagine how I feel, Barclays BPIM lost me half my life savings back in late 90's. Small print did state that 'you may not get back what you invest' jokers ! Since being up to my waist in Barcs shares (pre crash prices) and having to invest more to get down to a £3 plus B/E's. Whilst still keeping my accounts when my savings rates dropped through the floor. Even after all of that they even moved me over as one of the first batch of clients. It has cost me dearly, to the extent I am now sick to the teeth of their nonsense, it does not get any better. They are obviously going to pay attention when they have to account for their balance sheets. Wonder if anyone can tweet Jez and let him explain. Love the heading 'Flocking Livid' must show Mrs Wolf as she said she has never heard such bad language, from me trying to trade the new platform. All fell on death ears ! Hence my posts previously. Someone posted the financial director Alistaris contact email earlier. Can tell you from the horses mouth, having spoken to him personally for over half an hour over lunch, earlier this year at the AGM, my points obviously fellow death ears. He was fully aware of clients like myself being let down and not happy at all having been swapped over. Yes it will clearly cost some smaller trades and only caters for large placements. There is also a cost on your holdings each month too, plus the fee in and out ! Yes it is clearly an American suggestion and obviously to make the books look good. Having proven to them on several occasions now that when I tried to grab a trade, then getting logged out and other issues, it has cost me anything from £250 to a few K's in them lost 4 to 5 minutes . . . they still have not got back to me. Just keep getting told I.T are sorting it out . . . drivel after drivel. Can see a lot of investors getting brassed off too. This does not look good if they are supposed to be "Customer focussed' now does it. Lastly, The Share Centre has never ever messed me around and are always efficent and extremely polite. I.G messed me around for the first time with a technical screen pricing issues about 8/9 weeks back. . . still no contact from them and it cost me some money too. Though all in all I would be lost with out I.G, they are far better than others out there. Either way, best of luck.

Hi nighthawk and others concerned with the new platform They swapped me over in the first batch about 6 months ago now. Somewhere back in my posts, you may find a bits about how crap it was and the money it was costing me. Basically it originally would not process an order, had to keep logging in whilst trying to deal, logged out as soon a deal was processing, hence bought 2 lots in one attempt ! Don't want to remember the morning my PIN Sentry died . . . the air turned a very dark blue. Complaint after complaint, never had one apology or yet. The last issue was a month ago, trying to sell, it froze up 3 times and cost me between £250 and £700. Even they agreed that the system showed my attempts their end ! Basically the best way to run it until they fix all the issues is to have another screen open with I.G or who ever. Lots of customers have been on the phones complaining from day dot and has over whelmed them in complaints. just off out the door now as its is still summer holidays and my little cub is chewing at my ear lol. Good call on the 202 last night. It always helps if looking for a Barcs trade to watch how they close over the pond. Easy to convert the Barcs over there with our opening adjustments against what the dollar / pound. Good call. Good morning Yeah some action at last, yes been a little hectic on the Indi's and settling off for a breather lol Just grabbed some more Barcs for a brief trade, seeing the drop past few days, had to be done. Personally thinking that they were holding for some currency moves as was the ftse having some hefty divs too. Plus the fact it looks like we are being played the same as last year. Personally think we will see some pressure soon as they have pushed down on the mid 190's x2 now. So for me its a matter of some cheeky day trading, whilst building up a "Mother Load' of averages lol Who really knows though, though sadly I think this area of early to mid 2's does look very sticky. Until of course, Carnage jumps a rate increase and helps assist the yield curves. Always a pleasure to read your posts. Signing off now as need to pay attention lol. Hey nighthawk Nice to see you stuck a claw in here. Crikey 57,471 clicks I see, you really have gone thru a few key boards since we all started posting on here lol. Sadly this board lacks the banter we used to share on here, so I just take a look in everyone in a while. Quite a few of us still treading deep water with Barcs shares from old. Getting painful, though I sneak a few k back day trading every so often. Just got back in U.K again and this tan will wash away if this rain does not stop ! Big div on the FTSE this week and Barcs are throwing a crumb or two off the table our way. So just waiting to short the ar$3 out of the indices again and wait for a day trade on this blue sparrow. Sadly the Barclays charts are not giving much indication atm, so one can only rely on sentiment lol. Trust life is treating you well. Regards Wolfie

Wouldn't pay too much attention to their speculation of 180 to 160's Usually far off analysis and their opinion's are probably made up of 6 traders, off their face's in a lap dancing bar, back of Soho. Nothing against city group though Does anyone see anything positive between now and Feb 2018 . . . this is really beginning to grind on me now. Not looking like many thermals for this bird to lift and glide on. It seems Barcs need to rebrand itself with a picture of Tweety Bird, with a couple of strangely feathers lol Oh and if anyone was using I.G platform yesterday afternoon, yes the profit loss header, did go to $4iT. They finally admitted that they had 600 IT trying to find the bug in the software, only at 4pm though ! Their platform header was showing profits and closing at losses ! thomas65 How do you come to the nice round figure of 220 ? Yes this share usually builds up towards any results, though saying that I'm currently lurking around for a lower price. A nice drop of 2 or 3 % and a rally towards your pre or post results 220, would be lamb chops for breakfast, lunch and dinner for me lol Can't see it personally atm though I have not got a crystal ball, so who know's. Morning Chaz, in reply to your 6th July posting 'Going Forward' My conclusion was that of agreement with a few more knowledgable city friends. Their pooled opinion was that of covering 50% of there short positions and see a short term cap, pre results of 215. Despite being in and out of the country myself these past months, my intraday / 48 hours trades have paid off nicely. Not long covered a trade from the recent 204.75 at 208.20 Though who knows if some bigger funds are holding this down for a short term lunge post results. It would be nice to see another chance at a decent sub 200 personally, which does seem very possible atm. This ring fencing issue is also lingering and the talk of division, its all very painful for us share holders. A special long term divi of £1 per share would be suffice too, though would never in our dreams happen lol Anyhow, must dash Be lucky

Is in my view point, the best layman way to phrase this past decade. Russian money has also been a major key play in the cities property bubble. Does the government really think we the public are so backward, that no one can compare the Euro to the Pound. Average house prices, shagged savings rates, knackered genuine, fundermental economic growth . . . The whole european banking system is under so much artificial pressure. How our government can put all these financial safety measures in back some years now, post Northern Rock. Then allow it to happen all over again with a"Cheery on the top" beats me. Sad fact is I got caught in Barclays well above £3+ years back and have cursed every day since. Personally we need a rates to go up to counter act inflation, investments in infrastructure like roads and schools. Whilst all the stupid sods that up living it up on broken rates, get a taste of reality ! Cant wait for rates to rise, yield curves to strengthen more and Barclays to grow some balls. Good morning Nims, trust this day finds you well. Not a bad strategy, "Each to their own" as they say. Have to agree on the difficult 2018. Knowing friends living the "High life," who will be handing back their keys if we see 1% on the rates ! Personally I see the FTSE back in the mid 5's sometime in the next 24 months, with Barclays in the mid to late 2's Cant see a stable £3 plus just jet. This country should have never let the rates drop below 3% and cleaned out all the dad wood. The only thing that has happened is innocent, hard working people have suffered. Having to carry useless fools who spent on credit, never having to repay what they owed. Pensioners who have worked all their life having to spend their "Nest egg's" to keep afloat. Personally all the fools should have been left to suffer. Even the greedy bankers. We didn't have a real adjustment last time so this time its defiantly going to cause a lot of pain. Just like I told Mac an Jez at the AGM, £3 and I'm out as this is a "Dog of a bank" Forget the old days of good divi's Barcs bored will see themselves right before our divi's get better.
