I think I remember that post from LPD, very informative and concise but I'm also quite sure that Cineplex's Canadian legal team who lets be honest will be more informed and better prepared to fight a multi billion dollar court case than any of us, also believe they have a case. From what I've read I'm with you guys, probably will be settled out of court and probably for considerably less. That's maybe 2 probably to much for many investors though, hence why, IMO it's holding price back. The market is forward looking yes, but this is a chaotic element, just like Covid. I think we'll hover where we are until something happens with it, good or bad. And if it's that cut and dry as being implied then it won't be dragged out at all and will be a memory, happy days.
With the majority of the focus here seeming to be on Bond, and the odd smattering of conjecture around the Cineplex case, I'm just going to throw this question out there....if we lose catastrophically and have to pay 2.1 billion dollars in damages.. will there be any coming back? Bond will make a big wedge, yes, but fast and furious and black widow along with school holidays and a vaccine program doing extremely well both here and in USA (July) hardly affected the SP at all, as most here thought it would, so why bond? IMO, granted very limited experience, this court case is what's really holding us back.
Take care Robin, get well soon!
Go Cine, bounce, bounce like the wind!
Another 100k buy, looking good. Review of red/amber/green zones today or tomorrow, hopefully have a positive impact on "our" sector.
Still 15 minute delay for me....
Getting dragged up with TUI and easyJet/travel sector. Hopefully it stays up.
Your right enough smalltrader, and I can afford to hold. What is singularly the most irritating bit for me is the rise all the way up to 1.25ish closed then the steady decline back down, upon opening. It just seems to be "wait for opening" or "wait for Bidens Promise and New York/LA to open" or wait for FF9 and black widow along with school holidays" the list goes on and still the share goes down. Ok, sounding like a deramper now so I'll go find that biscuits.....
Same, completely fed up with this share now, full circle in 9 months, what a waste of time. Average is 65, breaking even and i'm outta here. Hind sights a wonderful thing. And the worst thing about it? If it doubles in a months time I wont even be that bothered, just done with it now.
HOWEVER, i'm hangry so that might change after lunch and a few biscuits :D
Just to add my 2 pence to that, this share is so completely, ridiculously, wonderfully unpredictable that the share price could go up on bad news or vice versa, everyone that's been here a month or longer will know that. I bought in end of November, I should have sold at literally double my money in March like No Fear but I didnt, I got greedy and believed if we're here while closed the only way is up once vaccines are rolled out and cash is in the tills. Here I am back to square one 8 months later. Who knows what tomorrow holds, buy or don't, this ones a gamble. IMO I don't think there will be much movement either way on the 12th, we are sitting undervalued and grouped in with the travel sector for some obscure reason (to me anyway but i'm an amatuer).
That's a valid point, some may not know this is heavily shorted, indeed.
Not just us, TUI and Easyjet are soaring high too, must be because they're the same sector as us (apparently) don't know, don't care, its going up not down, the sun's shining and it's almost the weekend!
3 months ago Cine touched £1.25, closed. We're now fully open in USA where we generate 75% of our income and today we're at 63p, a few weeks ago 88p. This is a summers breeze in comparison : ) on a serious note I hear you, but I'm willing to take that chance.
As you say, Cine is Cine , we all know it will go back up again. I'm past worrying now it's moved into laughable (tinged with hysteria) territory for me now. Bought 20k in Tullow yesterday so far still green.
Your right Stanley, is a good update and I understand the difference, just odd that multiple companies shares dropped so aggressively on the same day I thought. Strange one.
Hi all
Observation I'd like some opinions on if this hasn't been asked/covered already. I'm invested in Cine and now Tullow. On the morning of July the 6th Cine shares started their walk of the cliff, so did Tullow, BP, Shell, Easyjet. All dropped sharply that morning and a decent amount too. Last Tuesday, did I miss something? I've asked the same over at Cine.

Excellent, should go up nicely today then.
