All companies have blips in their histories its business cycle its sensible to get in on the blips if the company fits investment strategy critera.
for me dividends are everything. i am 24 so x 5% over 50 years (if i live that long). This is a known investing technique everybody has different ways to invest. I've looked at the company and saw that the R+D is terrible. But under £40. this is under valued and unloved. it has everything i am looking for in a share. Thanks for the tip but refrain from insults unless your a child. If they go down below 30 I will buy more. Right now I'm in small time but a company that has grown this much over the years and been virtually static during 2009 in comparison to the FTSE100. its worth a bash.
Stock market investing feels like a lifetime spent at alton towers
has all the things I'm looking in a share right now. Overlooked. pays 5.5 dividend with a progressive dividend policy and is FTSE 100. I believe because of the US healthcare issues big pharma has been unloved sector. Has not really preformed with the broader market since 2009. I think FTSE + SP may come down a little mid term. But i don't time things. Starting small here then gradually increasing my holding. Can see how unloved this share is per the posts. GLA
Sit tight. I still have faith in them. It will take time. URA arent the worse out there but one needs to tread light. Even the major explorers were hit hard this year. The down side will find some smaller explorers out.I have been in with URA for years and went through the ups and downs lets hope i can saw the same thing next time too IMO GLA.
a lot of worry in the sector yet which i believe must still be priced in.
it seems up always have some sort of lift in December.
Social media is no doubt free advertisement which is great for companies with a small budget. Can find anything anywhere. I use twitter more through business and personal. my news feed is just filled with news about markets. Great on the go. Papers are often out dated these days even the next day's news due to the internet.. p.s PPR just followed me lol
Your lucky to get in this price. I know there is two strategic investors although i have not researched it/them further (Yet). I don't know if there is more. For being in so low. Those investors surely want a return on their SP (at a higher rate) This drop in SP is sector related so i don't see much of an issue. The company's investors aren't pulling out either. I'm like you although there is some risks involved i'd like to think this is a calculated risk play. I think when they do extract Uranium and sell it. 10p easily. Its touched 6p just with market peaking...
thanks didn't notice my typo
I think the management are OK. I may try and go to the AGM this year and see for myself.. this is a long term prospect. A company starting from scratch to find uranium. I liked a few things about them one is the deal making. Securing a loan at LIBOR for that many months and also good timing on that front as it was done just before Junior Mining sector is scrambling for cash/help/JVs
nice to see their twitter is a tad more lively @penprotect
of*
The company that provided a loan to URA at LIBOR this year for 18 months owns 45.1% or URA at a much higher price than it is now...that's approx (336M) Shares. Which doesn't include other strategic investors (think there is one more) or doesn't include directors holdings + options. More than half of the shares are accounted for..
Would be funny if i said £3.50? Seriously who does that or is it a mistake? Giuseppe i also emailed them. Wed's morning at 6.30am..still no reply. But there is also a phone number.Go or that i'm sure last time i phoned them and one of them picked up I'm thinking about attending the AGM this year. I've been here longer than Alex has...
I've just topped my holding up. It reported as a sale on the trade section in this. I'm chuffed although i hope it lasts. I think this company is going to do well. As with any share/company though you cant be 100%. URA are using cost effective ways to extract Uranium so in this current climate they are ahead of other companies who are cutting costs now rather than before. The one thing that makes me slightly skittish about the company is the loan agreement in case it is a (SEDA) Standby Equity Drawdown arrangement. This term is new to me but the concept just prolongs the inevitable -Death of a company .If it is a standard loan agreement it is at a good rate and in the last financial statements said it should see them well for 12 months. So this company secured a loan well before this industry has been hit which is good as some other junior miners will be scrambling to secure finance now -which they may not get. . The whole industry has taken a huge hit its taken them all back to March 2009 levels. There will be opportunities but this is a time bad weeds are going to be thrown out. Its important to note that this company has already been through such bad times and survived. GLA IMO DYOR
Does anybody have a clue why its dropped?
Had a quick look and uranium prices seemed to. Have hit rock bottom. So I don't think the bad news is company specific. http://www.uxc.com/review/uxc_Prices.aspx
it has already been at least 3 years lol
breakeven for me
