The lovely people of Kuwait to it upon themselves to strike. What a perfect timing. I did the oil dance this morning to the oil gods and it worked! Whos talking rubbish. Im not bullish on the current outlook or enviroment for oil but i am a shareholder of BP. Funny how Charlie and Pedrob always come out on the same negative day. Not to mention both calling Sheik Alan. Is it suspicious to me or everyone else too? A good allround arguement is always welcome and if you can back it up i can just like dividend. Ofcourse its at risk, nobody here to the BP board can even say its safe at current levels. I dont see this at £2.50 although anything is possible in the market that we can all agree. It struggles to touch £3. 50%increase from a cut alone? No way. We all think $5-$10 dollar a barrel eventually. I dont know who your slating actually. £4.50 next week , ask me where i got the figure . Pulled it out the air just like most of em here. Haha not a chance we'l be in a range 345p-410p this year i think! IMO (if i am ALLOWED an opinion) and just for the info 345p is below todays current SP so yes i an doing the crazy thing and auggesting BP may go down, oh no!
When people have no fundamental other than to wish someone else lose money its a disgrace. Happy 2p! 357 p is a fair price , well done Fox you made 5.8p! in few hours! nice. Dunno what holds tomorrow we lost billions barrels thanks to Kuwait and i like that country suddenly a lot.
Pete 28p a year, 7p a quarter. Very interesting insight to Shell V BP and im thankful anyone replied to my posts ha! Hm yes Shell had a 30 billion pounds premium to BP as a valuation that pretty much got wiped out overnight. When you put that in context Market is regarding BP higher at this moment, i dont know who can or cant agree with me on that (only if you get what i said) even though SP did not move much over 5 year range. (Post spill era) was around these levels! Even as the agreement is not reached i believe the market will cut oil production, will be first time in a long time this would happen but what i mean is oil co's defaulting. Its already down from US. But this way will surely take longer think Saudi is crapping themselves and wanted to spook Frackers. Iran that guy you banned from the club then you say 'one more chance ' and they say "i don't wana play" Great. Was watching news for an agreement all day but it is what is is. Some co's and countries are really crapping themselves now i bet. Will be sorted by summer. Will start frying chips in crude to bring demand up.
The very fact OPEC wanted to talk to anyone is an achievement. The introvert of the market. Talks will commence in June between all OPECs then OPEC will talk to non OPEC. For me its a start, would rather a solid agreement than proposal or draft or gentlemans, many Oil producing countries are feeling the pinch. Would be nice if major oil companies was there too. Next BP event is the dividend decision at 28th April. Oils holding strong anyway, way over sold. This agreement was a big over hang lets see what MR MARKET thinks too!
Hello people, Has anyone notice since the BG deal and oil price crash Shell's valuation has come close to BP's? Am i wrong in saying that. I checked quickly here. Shell is worth £65B and BP £66B (Something like that) However previously Shell was at a £30B premium to BP most of post spill era. If anyone can clear it up thanks.
Although i have no interest in charting, your timing is second to none. Well done mate. Im in at £3.90 only cos i averaged down. I thought it was cheap at £10 bought till i got there. Once it rose i stopped. (Along with BP at the time). Im after dividends so will see what price does maybe for 1 year or do and decide accordingly!
The way I see it. Oil will eventually correct itself with rig counts falling in US. Its hard for Saudi to do what its doing in 3 Months, I reckon its a medium term plan. Regardless if they freeze Oil or not, market will eventually correct itself with companies that will default, sadly that;s the case. Some may still hang around. Longer term. BP will come out better as less competition. Roll on 17th we'll see what OPEC and everyone brings to the table. Would be a good time for BP to buy a smaller co.
BP seem to take the position " dividend at all costs" to maintain it but whether the business can produce the goods in such a unique period. I would say they are safe till 2 Quarters left. If things stay like this possibly a cut on the horizon. If things pick up more so from here its safeish. Hope this helps. Profit was down greatly but cashflow was impressive. I'd say look into a bit lore but hope some of the info i have helps.
Not a RBS Shareholder although was once, its sad this co never recovered from financial crisis. However enjoying the read and unity of this board! I got in at 09' and out at 09' just held for 6 months. I feel sorry for investors in at higher prices. But there is things in your favour like the government is supporting them. Right? Cant fail but will take time. GLA
This isnt Uranium one?
