In that fomat Kefi is just a shell investment vehicle with part ownership/stock in TKGM and GMCO. KEFI shareholders would own indirect stakes in foreign mining operations rather than direct ownership of UK-managed projects. But it then would also have significantly higher structural risks than a typical diversified investment vehicle, in projects not established, as a kefi holder. It's arguably the least attractive structure possible - you're taking development-stage mining risks in challenging jurisdictions, but through an investment vehicle wrapper that gives you no additional protections or diversification benefits. You're essentially paying for the risks of being a mining company while only getting the limited upside participation of being a passive investor.
