Thanks for that , good to listen to and I agree with him. Lets hope that the UK review the windfall tax soon. I mean if prices are now lower than before the Ukraine conflict caused them to spike then seems its right to reduce it. However we all know our government is about winning votes. He's right to be fuming. Thanks for sharing.
Couldn't agree more haggis , results good, and AA and team have done well with the company despite all the tax pressures from both governments. If not for the taxes imposed this share would be much higher with solid earnings two years in. Im sticking this out longterm after being in from the start. Fingers crossed these taxes get removed when prices stabalise. And benriach and other ventures are a success. Good luck all.
100% agree what a joke the Uk government taxes are. And the government in general for that matter. Were they not put in place to cap profits for extremely high gas prices?. Prices are now coming back down steadily for gas and oil so should it not be reduced accordingly? Also, the last two years have shown to everyone how important it is to have your own gas reserves . Why would you deter investment in our own Uk and north sea waters? absolute madness gov decision.
Its gone through deal approved , on TRQ website.Possible upside Monday or priced in ?
Been reviewing some of the banks earnings this week. And especially Lloyds today due to Uk housing market exposure. And it was has been good to see that overall the Uk housing market lending is still growing in the first 9 months of this year on the mortgage buisiness. Whats to come with rising interest rates is still to be seen, and it certainly feels a bit gloomy. But maybe rates will stabilise by mid next year. Uk wise the market seems to like the new PM with the pound responding in kind. Maybe inflation also stabilises in kind, by mid next year by q3. As a long term holder down 40% at present I’m hoping there is still some room for a steady and bumpy ride upwards if the above comes to fruition and the housing gloom is more like a steady return to normal times of growth and a not so bad recession. Lasting only a 6 months to a year. Rather than a cliff edge drop and big bang recession that seems to be the theory. All the best PSN holders if your like me and in for the long haul.
Must be so. Mine on HL said no quote on a buy. Now the deal with SQZ is not going through it would be nice to see a operational update RNS from AA giving some numbers on this year to date production etc and his next plans.
I think you maybe right , the market is clearly telling us that the deal is not going through with the drop in SP over the last few days on Kist. But who knows i'm staying in as even without the deal I think we could have further fortune later. Once we know for sure the Sp may drop more and to me thats a great buying opportunity. Surely soon after its confirmed ,AA will update and i think we should have wiped the debt clean and be looking to increase interest in the GLA .Or one or the other or possible a div . AIMO .
Thats good , half a billion of cash paid to rio in royalties . That should support the cash build well at a time when we may see falling profits . Helps support the year end figures.
My div is going back in too.
Looks like the next few years might be a bit of a challenge with profits overall down and already down on last year h1 2021 result . But to be expected in my view after a year with one off issues the world faced into. Long term this is a winner in my view .
sounds good to me. New investor in the company here after buying my first tranche yesterday.
Am I right in thinking that some big funds managers are taking stakes in kistos and Serica. And that can only be a good thing? to me it says parties are intrested and there could be money to be made from holding both. Considering buying some serica as-well.As only hold kistos at the moment. Parhaps people expect more offers coming either way. Or someone else.
Consider yourself lucky guys. Got 300 of these at at £24.4 average . Way into the red. But div on the way and like you say. It will come back at some point when all the doom and gloom news has settled. LTH so have no issues with holdings years and taking the huge Div. Considering buying more if i can free some cash. But two weeks abroad coming up.
Agree somethings not right, i don’t understand why they think house builders are vulnerable and not investible.I spent time reading the annual report over the weekend, and doing some research.
1.Persimon has a huge cash pile.1.25bil.
2. Persimon has a huge land portfolio
3.It makes 66k per house profit.
4.Pays an excellent div, covered by earnings at the moment.
5.There’s always a shortage of houses in the uk , so always in demand even in bad times.
6.Intrest rates are going up , but houses for many are still affordable. And Psn targets the lower end of the market.
7.Growth is reasonably predicted , percentage wise over the coming years. Conservative but reasonable.
8.PSN makes its own products to help it leverage cost.
Personally I don’t care what analysts say. what do they know, they get it wrong all the time.?
Really pleased to see this SP rise well done AA and the team. Im eagerly awaiting the current drill results which i think should come soon. Gas prices up as-well. Potential acquisition growth. Well done everyone.
