DEC got a lot of flack for their last buyback efforts. This time, the strategy is very good. Enough to support a slow SP rise and keeping a sensible BB price. It also shows that DEC has a lot of fire power when they stop aquasitions. Let's hope it lasts.

It would be easier to show and realise the value if DEC stood still for a longer period. Time to pay off debt and collect and show cash on the books.

I'm hoping they are paying off debt and not saving for more aquasitions. The market will slaughter them if the announce further debt to buy more wells.

Looks like we have lost the support of the US market. They would rather waste their investment cash on TESLA than support a home grown business.

Hey Pete640, nothing like Petrofac as they had no commodity to sell. DEC is oil and gas rich with guaranteed hedged sales. Everyone keeps complaining of acquisitions but DEC has gone from zero to the biggest gas and oil rig holder in the US. Also accumulating a massive footprint of land. The company is worth more than the debt. The SP will recover. Unless the world finds a better and cheaper energy resource of course.

The buybacks are a high % of total buys. This is keeping the SP in a good place. Strangely still has some large selling, which can only be at a loss. Why not wait and let the buyback push the SP to a lot higher levels and make a slow exit. Seems like big money has no shame in losing their clients money.
