BP can’t run old assets profitably. Their skill is in major projects. I think they will spend a lot in the U.K. but they have Clair South to get after, plus their wind farms and blue hydrogen production.

I think I am right in saying the bulk of their business is in the USA, as are a large chunk of their shareholders.

BP have been offloading old assets…can’t see them wanting them all back now. Maybe Harbour, or some of the private companies looking for a listing. Or new player looking to get into the North Sea.

Good to see cost forecasts have not gone up. Bressay FDP looks like a 2023 story. Acquisitions unlikely I think until debt is dealt with. Perhaps some more details on the SVT plans later this year…interesting that it is described as global scale.

You seem to be assuming that this isolated failure is symptomatic of a company culture of incompetence. I see no evidence for that.

I care if Enquest lack competence in their core business.

At worst the AGM move is bad IR. They’ve not broken any rules by moving it but perhaps they could have made it clear that the date was not confirmed (particularly as I think some investors had been told that it would be held this week).

That would certainly force me to reassess my view of them and the company. Especially if it was a meaningful amount bought on the open market.

I hope they are working to submit the FDP for bressay and announce that before AGM.
