If it is prt of a proper review that includes energy security etc and is based on facts then Labour will need to either dispute the facts or explain how they are going to meet our energy needs without oil and gas production incentives (E.g. floor on EPL, investment allowances).

Ideally there would be some independent or cross party review to avoid the political nonsense for such a critical issue.

Any floor level would have a positive impact on ENQ. It would open up the possibility of investing in the U.K. to reduce EPL. Based on the Moodys view cash is very tight this year with unexpected reduction in borrowing capacity and payments coming due later in the year.

The reduced RBL has more to do with the extension and the lack of a floor price.

Lol Mansardman. You clearly have not been paying attention. AB has put his hands in his pockets many times over the last 6+ years. Not least when his guarantees and personal wealth have allowed us to access financing, that otherwise would have been impossible to obtain.

Just look at Tullow and Harbour for how it could have gone if AB did not have this much skin in the game.

They are struggling to keep their head above water in a lagoon in fine weather. They are totally screwed if macro conditions turn nasty or they run out of luck at their major asset.

Vike - yeah it’s great news for the BOD and related parties (Gneiss). Immaterial for ordinary shareholders IMHO.

The BOD will be working hard to release those funds to these key stakeholders I am sure

SVT will be a very slow build. It may form a non-negligible part of our business in 15 years time.

Oil and gas developments and sales are what will drive SP performance between now and then. I would suggest you go and find an actual “green” company to invest in. Enquest is an oil company, and will remain an oil company in the medium-long term.

KO - the word “Fuel” is misleading in this clip. And it’s fair to say it is also abused by the other side.

I don’t think people really have a problem with making things from oil. Burning oil on the other hand should be avoided if at all possible. And yes it is not yet possible in many transport or heating applications.
