Mansardman, you are often on here bashing AB, serious question, why do you rate him so badly?

I suspect the true answer might be, “because the SP didn’t go up after I bought”…

If they have a proper plan to deliver on a strategy then it could be a real political coup.

They were flailing about doing anything they could to save big dog when the EPL was introduced.

My view is that the government are in a much better place politically and in fact need to stop stealing labours clothes if they want to win an election.

Anyone can see that the EPL as it stands does not deliver energy security as we were told it would. Publishing a proper strategy is a good place to recognise this and make changes. It also forces labour to put forward their opinio. On energy security. I’m sure they will say “more renewables”, but the public are not all stupid and will start asking questions about why if it is so attractive is nobody building out renewable capacity!

Great news. More or less any floor could reverse our downgrade and reinstate our RBL capacity. That is pretty huge given the commitments this year.

No SoTB. PMG SP has priced in significant growth. It’s over priced IMHO.

If TC can somehow raise funds and find a partner to develop Perth (very difficult in current climate) then it may become a buy. Cash is the Key and PMG don’t have it.

I asked a perfectly sensible question and you gave me this Tyla: “ If they needed cash imminently they wouldn't have brought the decommissioning forward, let them take care of the finances, don't worry your pretty little head about it.”

Well I’m afraid I do worry about such things before putting in my hard earned. Cash is only needed if you want the business to grow. Currently corporate overheads are chewing through the operating profits, so growing organically is not an option.

I understand this is a difficult time for holders - take a break from the screen? If you are right then this should bounce back once macro uncertainty resolved itself.

PMG will have been told they can’t have platypus unless they started addressing their decomm liabilities IMHO. There is a chance platypus could come back but they will need to recapitalise to pay for the development.

Martinen - I have no idea about these particular workers. My point was aimed at the attitude on here that these workers are doing themselves out of a job. That is not my experience of the market. I feel they are probably in a strong position.

Contracting rates in Aberdeen are rising. These People vote with their feet eventually.

If the banking crisis keeps going then the teens seems inevitable. This share valuation is largely speculative and with possible fundraise on the cards it is very risky IMHO

Squeezing workers doesn’t help. ENQ will pay what they need to pay. Strikes may or may not affect what they have to pay.

Wages took a huge hit in 2015/16 and have not recovered. They need to (and are) going up to attract /retain people.

The exchange rate makes this quite affordable.

We may think it is all doom and gloom but the industry is booming and operators are making a lot of money. Capex and opex budgets are much higher now.
