The timeline for news on PSC goes right through to the end of June on the current table from the last presentation so I'm not sure where you get your 2 weeks from.

Presumably they are not obliged to issue RNS while suspended? Perhaps someone could clarify. In that case we can only hope for one on lifting of the suspension.

PSC goes through until June on the presentation and it could carry over.

To be fair there were quite a few fantasies out there of an early PSC announcement. I estimated April/May but I now think May/June. More realistic language from the Co would help manage expectations. It’s really not helpful to state things like final stages etc when there’s a way to go. It feels like the Co is trying to put more pressure on the decision makers to go their way by putting things in place but that does suggest that they are having to row upstream. Fingers crossed as you say.

Excellent summary of where we are at by Arthur imo. There is a bit of smoke and mirrors stuff going on by the BoD and the fake bid episode will not have enhanced their credibility. I'm toughing it out and will add if it falls below the placing price but the BoD need to start delivering on this PSC PDQ.

They can spin it how they want but a placing at 3.3 is what it is. They had previously said they were well funded and they provide no explanation for this fundraise unless they now believe that they need to convince others of their ability to carry this through. That leads me to believe that their position is not as strong as I had hoped.

Oak have raised over £1bln for their clients so perhaps they have been brought in as fundraisers for UPL. So what is the new strategy?

Simple answer. Because it’s at one hell of a discount. I’d like to know what they are bringing to the table for that apart from cash.

I’d expect it to settle around 4.4-4.5 for a while until more news is released. I don’t think the PSC is as close as some would like though the meeting in London does show serious intent.

There seems to have been a lot of expectation that the PSC was due as early as March but the company timeline goes as far forward as June. I was never expecting it earlier than April/May but it may be later than that. No biggie really. Happy to hold until the announcement whenever it is.

Bouncing off the lower channel and I expect there will be movement up and down within it until news arrives. Personally I am not expecting anything until April/May though I would be happy to be proved wrong. I'm sure there will be morsels before.

The end date for the engagement for the PSC shows June on the update so why are we thinking it will be sooner?

This will re rate on award of the PSC but not before imo. There was not much in this announcement that we did not know already. UPL are pushing on with things presumably to show good intent with Petros but there’s little point unless they get the license. So a lukewarm response today and not surprisingly.

Because the price had already been leaked and was part of the speculation.
