RE: Expect fresh 52‑week Share Price highs this week and next 🤞🏻15 Jan 2026 10:32
Morning @dsrt2012 and All,
Yes... Three of the U.S Big 6 Banks reported yesterday (Bank of America, Citigroup and Wells Fargo) and the remaining Big 2 (Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley) report today.
The common theme from the states (as per CNBC.com) seems to be;
"Bank of America and Citigroup (shares) were lower despite their results beating consensus estimates, AS TRADERS DIDN’T VIEW THEM AS STRONG ENOUGH TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING A MARKET TRADING NEAR RECORD HIGHS."
Are the U.S Banks close to their summit?
Closing Prices yesterday for the Big three that reported their numbers:
Bank of America $52.48 Down ⬇ 3.78%
Citigroup $112.41 Down ⬇ 3.34%
Wells Fargo $89.25 Down ⬇ 4.61%
Surprisingly (or not) that no real pull through from the U.S. Bank results to the UK Banks so far. The belief being that Investors continue to rotate part of their funds into European Stocks including Banks.
Let's see what LLoyds do, with their continuing share climb ( £1.02 as i type 😲) and results announcement, two weeks today, Thursday 29th Jan, to see if they set some sort of tone.
Good Luck All,
Regards, Mr A
