@Harry, AGM is taking place tomorrow at 10:30am :)

Cineworld has already shut down the unprofitable sites in question. They spoke about this at the last earnings and the one before it IIRC.

They will likely still be on the lookout for others that are not worth keeping open and close them too, but to answer your original question, yes they have closed unprofitable sites.

@oceanpassage, I don’t think the Board would answer that one. If they say ‘no’ then they are essentially giving us their word that this company will not go bust. If it does, they have a huge legal liability on their hands (and I think they have enough of those haha).

Conversely, if they say ‘yes’ then all the shareholders would leave the meeting on the spot to sell their shares, it’s very price sensitive info that is being requested. Likelihood is that they would tell us to just look at the numbers ourselves.

@Robin, I don’t think I’ll ask it like that lol, but there is a question about reducing debt in the company and how they plan to do it (whether it’s via rights issue or just through company revenue).

I hope that is sufficient?

@antmoss, that is in the notebook, will ask them about whether Mooky intends to get his bonus as stated on the LTIP before it expires in 2024 and if so, when does he estimate :)

@tonymax, not sure if it was a question or a statement, but I have included ticket pricing and whether the company intends to charge higher for peak times/big releases :)

@Reppyrr, I believe that is the case. The AGM Notice mentioned that the Board could deny an answer to a question if it would involve the sharing of confidential info.

@Allkap, I had on my list to ask how their relations are with lenders and movie studios. I will add the extra part about if he sees the amount of releases coming out increasing in the near future. Perhaps should also maybe ask about Netflix too?

@InsiderInfo28, noted about Cineplex. The bonus is dependent on the share price.

Jangho haven’t reduced. We would have known it, that’s for definite.

See page 77 of the most recent Annual Report for a list of the largest shareholders. Jangho holds 13.79%.

After a lot of running around and many attempts, I have finally been able to get the necessary documentation to allow me to ask questions in the meeting :)

I have already seen @betahighalpha’s questions and will note them down. If anyone has any other questions, please feel free to drop them in this thread here and I will write them in my notebook.

I will try and consolidate questions down that are similar and condense them so I can make the most of the time.

Please have a read of Note 6 from the AGM Notice about the questions:

The Company will answer any such questions relating to the business of the meeting, but it may not answer if (a) it would involve the disclosure of confidential information, (b) the answer has already been given on a website in the form of an answer to a question, or (c) it is not desirable in the interests of the Company or the good order of the meeting that the question be answered.
