Well, in the process my post got removed as well.
People are complaining about not seeing a rig booked. Well, I think there is method in the madness.
There are two big things outstanding, the rig booking (and drilling) and the license granting.
I questioned WHY would you book a rig when the license is not in the bag signed and sealed yet? I'm not saying the license won't be given and in fact the gov has gone into writing that they will grant the license. BUT why would you book a rig BEFORE the signed license is in the bag and you know you can drill AND extract the oil that you KNOW is there. No one in their right mind would. It would reduce your leverage in the negotiations on the terms and PSA.
So, license first and then rig contract (and RNS). AAOG may already have an option on a rig and maybe even a planning, but that is in my view not cause for an RNS.
