what research did you do before you bought in? why did you buy in? what was your reason for buying? this is a specualtive small cap where if what they promise is delivered the npv will be in excess of 7.5p - they have already delivered part of that in the form of a gas asset in Equitorial Guinea and the other yet to be delivered will be in Nigeria. It's a risk and it is not a low risk stock.

wondered when you'd come out of the woodwork - day traders are exiting and we are dipping inside an up trend it all depends where we bounce.. if the offer falls any more there will be buyers buying for long term fundamentals

there are only a couple of sellers into strength looks like they are tiring - us should be positive this afternoon (dow futs up 53 now) off back of Ford making money!! ie normal panic merchants wont have an excuse to sell.

look at the research re fair value and then decide - remeber the fair value given by edison includes risk discounts for whole variety of risks..this is a conservative approach to valuation as he has heavily discounted to get an NPV... NPV as conservative estimate (and future value is higher of course) is 7.5-11.25p imho and when we get the reserves report re the Equitorial Guinea field we'll move up (if its good of course) and if they snare (the delayed) Nigerian asset we';; move up..when both of these are announced NPV will be a minimum of 7.5p and reserve/oil price dependant more

look at the trend - the current rise is based on long termers who bailed coming back as they are buying for the reserves upgrade in gulf of guinea..given the volatility it always attracts momentum traders but people are buying to hold. we're up 11.9% after a day where the dow fell 250 points - i'd say that's a reversal of sentiment a few weeks ago i'd agree with you but we are decoupled now from general market sentiment. Also the concern re Nigerian political instability etc has now partially been discounted by the fact the potential of the Equatorial Guinea asset and other assets there are worth a lot more than initially envisioned and EG is politicaly stable and modernizing fast.

Current NPV of Equitorial Guinea is 25 mm usd - the co have a 50% stake with Sonagas the state gas co. This is based on a 60 usd pb price. (oil is 25% higher).(LNG is priced off of oil) So fair valuation 1 at 75 usd 85 = 106.25 25= 31.25 ie fair value is 137.25 usd if the Equitorial Guinea find is larger than expected (an independant consultancy is evaluating the find now) then the value will be higher. NPV or fair value is the best of valuing an asset - of course as the assets value unlocks or the co do more deals then the fundies improve. SP wise the NPV estimate is 7.5p - with oil at 75 usd it's more like 9.25p EG part is worth 1.5p with oil at 75 usd it's worth 1.875p but could be worth if gas in the ground is double initially estimated then thats 3p to 3.9p oil price dependant. That gives GAS an NPV fair value between 7.5p and 11.125p its currently 2.65 to buy. dyor

if you know so much why did you buy in - no research and suckered in on momentum. People like you are more annoying than athletes foot - you want the price to go up but all you do is **** the stock off. If you actualy knew how to trade you should know you cut your losers and run your winners - if you own a losing stock that capital is wasted when it could be sitting in a stock thats trending up on momentum and good news flow. I see price weakness as a top up opp - last week we double bottomed and bounced off the 200 day ma which is sloping upward meaning we are still in a long term up trend, we also had a good piece of fundamental news in the gas asset we own is sitting in a country that have just said they have a lot more gas than they thought and intend to double exports in 5 years, if you;d done your research you;d know that upgrades the economic potential of GAS considerably. Of course you want a quick buck and you bought on momentum because you're a smart informed investor and now for peverse psychological reasons you want to haunt this bb and deter anyone from saying anything positivie. I will be increasing my holding and did so last week between 2.31 and 2.5 - friday i could sell at 2.46 (bid was 2.4) and buy at full offer (2.65) .. that suggests the sp will move north as investors are buying now for the fundies and not like you momentum.

yes we had some sellers - but 600k and we just had a buy of 200k which means the mms now want full ask for stock ie they dont have too much stock to offfer and if you want to buy you're going to have to pay for it .. i think whats important is where we now bounce ...think sellers are done - there was the usual pattern of selling yeterday but we ticked up...and today they dropped the bid to 2.4 from 2.55 but the offer only from 2.7 tp 2.65 which says they do not have stock but are happy for you to sell. I expect us to either move up into the close or bounce on Monday in the new month

thats where people get it wrong with GAS - they are not in just Nigeria and the Equitorial Guinea asset and presence just came more lucrative and interesting. ie whatever happens in Nigeria especially as they are yet to finalize a deal only has a limited impact but yes good news for Nigeria and more good news for GAS!

Stronger than expected US GDP should end the current correction so think we should see value investors who will buy and hold rather than day trading GASs volatility.
