I'm definitely overweight, and I'm not talking about my midriff!

Spent many years as a young man in the ACF (Army Cadet Force) and consider myself fortunate to have caught the 'tail end' of this generation. Many an hour listening to first hand accounts of Italy (Monte Casino), Arnhem, Belsen etc etc.
(Along with my own family's experiences; one Grandmother in Ammo factory, Grandfather in Burmha and the other in the merchant Navy (after having been in the Royal Artillery in WW1).
They were a different breed, they lost so much, just got on with it.
We owe them all so much.
Lest we forget.
