Russia has virtually no chance of taking the whole of Ukraine.
(It would need a full mobilisation to do so)
And has ZERO chance of holding it.
(It would need to maintain mobilized armies indefinitely, whilst still under sanction)
Despite what some of the Putin apologists on here might think, Russia has been forced into plan C (Donbas/Luhansk only) and try and sue for peace.
Ukraine is strengthening whilst Russia is weakening.
Putin will need to go to plan D (rid Ukraine of nazism' and hold Crimea) if he is going to have any chance of extricating himself and Russia from this destructive shambles and avoid wider escalation.

Think a lot of people (including myself) are thinking the same or similar. I'm trying to be quite philosophical about it now though, no point in being angry or upset (I'm not living in Ukraine afterall).
I've been able to move all my trading account into this year's isa with £6k to spare, gaining 30k shares in the process. Trading additional £6k has enabled me to add another 40k shares over the last couple of weeks.
Wish I'd traded my pension holding, but too scared to be out...ho hum.
It's going to be about how many you have at the end of day imo.

Tactical withdrawal. Now within range of newly supplied/equipped HIMARS.
However, Russian MOD 'selling' it as a concession to allow grain cargoes out!
(A couple of RU ammo dumps taken out far behind front lines in last few days too).
If it's the start of anything, I think it's the inflection point from where we'll see NATO supplied arms starting to at least balance the odds, if not put them in favour of Ukraine.

Sold my trading account on the end of month shuffle bump, been feeding back into ISA. gained 32k shares in the process and still have another £6k headroom to add. 6p is fine by me, that's another 100k!
