Buying pressure is still substantial: they've shaken barely any shares out of people's hands around 0.7 but plenty of buying up towards 1p. This goes higher into close today.

1 Code for the believers, at 1p. Why would the MMs be trying so hard to screw shares out of people if the brakes weren't about to come off?

If it was a P&D, the bid would be following the ask up. The fact that the two are completely disconnected suggests the opposite.

They're clearly trying very hard to shake people out. Gonna have to try going the other way soon IMO.

How on earth can it be legal to have such a wide spread? Market Makers should be banned. No need for them anymore. All prices should be cleared algorithmically with buyers and sellers automatically matched, eliminating essentially any spread and making price discovery immediate.

Just on a cash basis we should be trading at 8-10p here, before you even consider long-term growth potential or asset broadening. Could see another 100% day today IMO.

December 1 - "Geolinvestproekt is now overseeing the state approval process of the Technical Project, which is now imminent. A separate announcement will be made upon the approval"

They've been confident for months that a webinar will happen (given all of the forward-looking statements that have not materialised in time previously, I don't see why they would have said this in October if they were not sure) and "imminent" implies 2-3 weeks to me, so we're in that ballpark now.

So what happens once the Monchetundra technical project is approved? Well, Eurasia can start building a mine. Or someone else can. Whoever it is gets the keys to the kingdom: 1.9m/oz to be getting on with now (in-ground value of c.$4bn as it stands, most of it recoverable due to very low AISC) before then expanding it to 15m/oz via the flanks/NKT integration (pushing $30bn in-ground at current prices and rising) and then on towards 40m/oz with the Rosgeo projects ($80bn+) which is surely why they mention "first mover advantage" at every opportunity.

Oh, and could it be that we're also waiting for the integrated and updated MT-NKT DFS? Just think, if that came at the same time as the technical approval for the first stage of the MT project, it would continue to transform the value of the company. Oh, and don't forget rising metals prices: palladium futures are up 105% over the past year ($1912/oz) and platinum futures are up 135% ($2230/oz) and both are up between 30% and 40% just the past month. Who knows where they'll be in a year's time?

I personally reckon we're getting some kind of big announcement tomorrow after the markets close at lunchtime, a nice Christmas present from Santa Christian, with a webinar following next week. Everyone could then spend 4-5 days digesting it while bathing in Champagne all weekend.

I think Sino is a bit of a red herring. Until the day a transaction is agreed, the company has to keep moving forward on two tracks: operational (i.e. moving to mine) and strategic (i.e. pursuing a sale). Even if the recent RNSs about MT and WK are tidying up exercises for a buyer (which I think they are) they still have to be predicated on the existing operational planning, in which the Sinosteel EPC is the backbone. For now it is the only method by which the company could theoretically make operational progress in terms of bringing MT to mine, even if ultimately they are going to exit and a buyer will come in and conceivably not exercise it in favour of their own contracting arrangements.

It cannot, or at least it cannot in the long run when the market clears at equilibrium. In the short run, though, with Peel dumping millions of shares into the UK market, there is a limit on the extent to which the available capital in the market can absorb that stock at a given price. The crucial question, though, is when is the short run over? My suspicion is that it doesn't have long to go.

@Veteran - Precisely, this is one of those shares that may be a unicorn. It may not, of course, but it's worth even a small investment left in for a few years to see what happens IMO. It could very plausibly be the next massive thing. Even if it just follows ASOS (a hundred bagger to its first peak) you're looking at £2/share equivalent, and to its mega peak, it's a 300-bagger, so more like £6/share equivalent. Obviously there'll be dilution and what not along the way, or an institution might just buy WeCap's holding out - I'd be amazed if they're not sniffing around in the background now - but even then I'd be surprised to see this go for less than 50p/share now.
