I tried their limited edition cinnamon and cream topped white coffees today. Pure bliss on a cold wet day. I smiled and thought about the £35 SP, which isn't far away.
Who would want to be out of this on the 22nd for ex dividend date and secure another 16p...
International Criminal Court’s Rome Statute does not apply to Kazakhstan
They are cheap. But would you go into a bidding war for a house if you knew there was litigation hanging over it?
Some rumblings that north sea oil production will get green light and our prime minister is on board. Expect snp will do whatever they can to block this, but good news.
And add in some yellow cake to the oil production and hopefully get a lot more investors involved...
Obviously, oil is the main concern and I like reading this part over and over. Gives me a warm feeling. Especially the last part. Qtr3 looking good.
"Oil was encountered sooner than expected at a depth of approximately 3,900 meters and before the well had been completed, leading to a decision to drill a new side-track from a depth of 2,416 meters to approximately 4,100 meters, targeting the oil at the higher level previously encountered.
With approximately 100 meters still to be drilled the well flowed over a period of 3 days at rates fluctuating between 700 and 900 bopd.
Work at Deep Well 802 was suspended waiting on additional equipment. Accordingly, the crew at Deep Well 802 was moved to work on Shallow Well 142. The crew has now returned to Deep Well 802 and we expect to complete our work at Deep Well 802 in Q3 2023."

Based on what I have read in the chairman's statement.... I'm just drawing my own conclusions.
"Objectives
The Group's objective is to create shareholder value from the development of oil and gas projects and associated activities. We are now also considering mineral opportunities in Kazakhstan.
The Group has a number of secondary objectives, including promoting the highest level of health and safety standards, developing our staff to their highest potential and being a good corporate citizen in our chosen countries of operations.
Strategy
The Group's long-term strategy is to build an attractive portfolio of oil and gas exploration and production assets initially in Central Asia, and in particular Kazakhstan where the board has the greatest experience. Additionally, the Group will consider other opportunities, including now mineral opportunities, where the board believes it can add significant value and contribute towards the success of the Group as a whole."
But why specifically this business.

There has to be mineral interests at play. Even if I'm wrong, I'm glad institutions are getting involved, as someone previously mentioned.
Elton John and Clint Eastwood in the same thread..... you see, one could make your day, whereas the other could male your hole weak..... just saying like. Well, you need some cheering up until the end of 2023 with this stock.
Maybe 1200. But I've had GSK for over 5 years and seen this go between 1200 and 1800 like a yoyo. I've set a ridiculous target of 2000 to let me collect dividend income.
It's not ramping at all. I don't care about SP. Just looking at facts. This Swiss company deals with tunneling and lifting gear and they've just bought nearly 5% of Caspian Sunrise. Caspian has already stated that it's interested in mineral opportunities. Kazakhstan happens to be a major source of Uranium. Of course, it could be gold or coal. Can you think of a better explanation? I've not been told that it's not!
There is going to be a huge demand for nuclear fuel. Poland will not go back to reliance on Russian oil and is building reactors, but they haven't bought or even sourced fuel for them.
Wouldn't it be nice if Caspian Sunrise was sitting on a heap of uranium?
Just a thought, but Kazakhstan does account for 33% of the World's uranium production.
Sit back and relax.
Think there are enough Non Educated Delinquents running this show... I'm confident there is better news to follow for 23 year, once they get time to write it down. More oil production and better accountancy will sort it out. I seriously wish they didn't pay out those monthly dividends and kept a cash surplus to move forward with. No matter, plenty cash to do what they need to do so let them get on with it.
There's a lot more going for this company...

Buying back with all of it. I don't care if it falls back to 3 or 4p in the short term, I'm holding well into double digits.

I'm with Bank of Scotland, which is Halifax platform and still no show for dividend. It was bang on time the last time, so don't know what's going on. Contacted them via Chat and they said they have it now and will pay it by end of today.
Shore Capital broker view is neither positive or negative. They are always non committal. The statute of liability will clear out a lot of negative numbers and should boost SP this week when investors see a bargain.
I know it's just based on short term algorithms, but thought I'd share a nice feeling to end the week.

(Obviously, that would be the price equivalent to both companies)
