The west have had bad relations with Iran since 1979. Iranian oil has been under sanctions on and off for decades. Sanctions that the USA impose.

I think oil is the easy answer people look for. Im not convinced.

Russia is now saying, its illegal for America to intervene in Iran. Conveniently forgetting about what they are doing in Ukraine.

Its all about positioning. The Russians need Iran. The USA needs isreal in that region.

There is clearly money to be made. It's more in the timing that the narrative. You have to get in with a very low market cap, with a ahare like this. If you chase it after the event you are asking for trouble.

I hope there is a better outcome here.

If there isn't , it will be a lesson learned. The real prize was to buy in the 3p days, long after hole 5, 3p was still available for a very long time. It more than 10 bagged to 46p. That was 10 years ago. That was the real deal as David Dickinson would say. Just not a lot of us saw it. That's was then. There will be other opportunities in the future. Just make sure you learn the lesson.

How BHP are panicking about a possible Rio/ Glencore merger( that we are told is all about copper) how the price of copper, gold and silver are at all time highs. How the world will be short of everything you can think of soon, yet everyone of our "diverse book" big shareholders is giving this to the Chinese for 28p. Including copper hungrey BHP.

Was the whole story over hyped from day one here?

Casually take a look at our portfolios, one day this week or next. and see solg up by 15% on news that someone new has bid?

Its an exciting prospect, even if it does not happen. You pay your money, you take the chance.
