I was thinking about Shell earlier again if they could be the major, moved offices to bahama's , been awarded the LNG gas contract there, and having lost out big time in Guyana when they pulled out of the venture with ExxonMobil there , who are now shooting fish in a barrell with successful drills in the area..could they have grabbed this with both hands as not to miss another big chance in the Caribbean? It still could be anyone else of course just me thinking out loud...and "Other oil majors are available"....lol...i've come this far not backing out now im strapped in for the ride win or lose, you guys are probably right tho i think its to far down the line now for anything else other than a deal to happen, especially given the debt crisis BG are in.

Thought so Naylord ;)..you had me going there for a minute! i almost cashed my shares in cheap then...LOL...so what do you think next week will bring? There seems to be alot of negativity from environmental groups on the islands which is understandable and it could frighten some investors away before any EA news. But i would be interested to hear what this guys other ideas are for paying down the national debt? Imo the Government are backed into a corner with the huge debt and the enviro's are giving them both barrells, and others probably looking forward to the jobs and prosperity oil could bring, so whatever they decide one sides not going to be happy...but unless Norman and Co can show other credible revenue streams, theres only one option that pays the billion dollar bills..think SP same as last week unless news, think alot of people sat on the fence waiting on a leak or something positve who we haven't seen yet...its a risky bet still but if you do your homework theres not many other options for the government IMHO.

Naylord how come you agree with the anti-drilling view of Norman if you are BPC shareholder?

The major or super major struck a farm-in deal with BPC and Macquarie was the finance partner providing the cash maybe to fund/part fund the drill...would this be the best case scenario for BG and BPC??? Could BG then maintain some control with the relationship they've built over the years with Potter and Co, and would it sit better with the locals having "Bahamas Petroleum" the local friendly oil company in the driving seat rather than a faceless international oil company? Wouldn't the islanders be more at ease with this situation.

Even if this major doesn't sign a deal, lets not forget the 4 other NDA's that BPC previously signed with potential farm-in and financing partners, plus other firms who they've had talks with...whats not right for one party might be worth a gamble for another...just looks like this major was the greadiest pig at the table, something must of caught there eye though other than just trying to get one over on the others?.............https://mobile.offshoreenergytoday.com/bahamas-petroleum-says-progress-made-with-farm-in-talks/

Hopefully this will steadily rise or stay somewhere above 3p for now until the next RNS, but in the meantime the big players will keep rinsing the SP for all its worth as we keep seeing!

Major or super major paying for exclusivity. 2. Macquarie in there now advising on a possible deal. 3. Deep-sea oil and gas exploration mentioned as a possible income stream as part of a Blue economy. This is like watching a volcano ready to erupt...as they say theres no smoke without fire! ;)

Not that its right but i'm sure a little oil money will soon sort that out, brown envolopes make the world go round afer all! Maybe a phoney inquiry into the matter that drags on for years to appease the public outcry and we'll be all sorted...by the time anything comes to light hopefully the taps will be on at BP and everyone will be lining there pockets with dollar bills, even the chuches will have new roofs!!! Lol : D sometimes the government know whats right for the people and not the other way around, whats better an economy in declince or national debt wiped clean and prosperity for years to come?! I know what i would choose if in charge, short term pain long term gain. Imho

Merely speculating but having read the article below could a similar situation occur whilst macquarie are advising BP? If they felt there was genuine potential in BP's assets could they step in with some sort of loan/offer for all or part of BP or JV with the major etc? Macquarie Capital have done similar in australia in a consortium with Brookfield buying up Apache's oil and gas assetts in western australia in 2015 all be it a running concern..or if no deal was done with major could macquire step in and help BP go it alone or on a farmout with another major?... Bahamas Petroleum When your shares go up by 375% in less than a month and you have no money in the bank the temptation to visit the ducks when they are quacking is not only too much to resist but eminently sensible. Raising £1.1m at 2.5p is hardly company changing, indeed having just appointed Macquarie bank it will probably just about cover the fees, but with recent good news of a suitor checking over the books and paying a quarter of a bar a month to do so things are looking up for BPC.
