It would just not move down much if any in any manner in normal circumstances even if some selling, too big as it would be lined up all the way down. If a single order it could trade but again it would hold the price for a while or send the price the other way ie. up but this is very rare. That is not the way to trade, you would struggle to get filled, better to go to dark pool or mm or (work the order which is neither easy or straight forward)
I just trade and try not to have too much bias either way as It clouds judgement.
If starting out as a new investor, pull out an annual/multi-yr chart and study it and you get your picture of the stock. I am not here to argue ramp or de-ramp, just trade and news. Happy investing!

Danphonic, L2 is can help but not always and be a very short timespan. If you are an investor ignore it and look at the big picture.

I am not in easyjet or hedged. As IAG is the weakest and highest beta,just. So more adverse to travel news, esp international news. Rya , Wizz are the 2 best run in the business and European in the main so if i were to hedge those would be ones to pick.
Easyjet tend to track IAG in the main, so save me having to concentrate, also importantly Rya is illiquid and IAG is the most liquid so I don't pay spread too much. I do watch L2 on them 3. For example US market is highs but US Airlines not doing much AAL +1.5% and off highs.

For transparency I am short from 150.14 and added again 135.94 but may close or reduce anytime depending on the market. I trade technically and use charts. I watch the market using a mixture of ftse/ dow futures, eye on AAL, Ezj and rya , trades and L2

In this case it looked toppy and was actually toppy, dropping now, it is not always the case...MM are reluctant to do that in a liquid fast market as there are risk of them being filled and ended up with stock they do not want or short or less stock otherwise. Hope you get it. Read this in bite pieces and digest.

Prices can be walked down despite buying, for example if last traded price was 240 on 235/240 spread, someone can insert a 239 bid within the spread, thus 236/239, a buy at 239 would drop price. Then again at 236/238 and a buy at 238 makes a lower price and so on. :-)

Sometimes flashing orders to let them know will move market, but sometimes not if done too much as it is just a 'scare' tactic (flooding the bid with buy orders). I would laugh if they get 'hit' and filled and ended up buying stock they don't want. They (MM) did it again just now but stopped again.

Share prices started falling on buys looking toppy for that instant at around 135+ buy prices being inserted between bid and offer spread. When it started to drop below 135 the mm started to line up the bid column with 250k (totalling millions) orders to support it, imo if any selling would knock the price. However normally it would cause buyers to start buying and taking out the offers, in this case nothing happened. When it looked stable, they removed the orders. Hope it helps.

Depends on the platform you are on and quantity available and what access to mm. Fairly Ok liquidity on OB, maybe a limit buy may help.

Ceo said the same thing yesterday evening, just that the latter put a positive spin about production numbers. All the scientists said the same thing yesterday, nothing new, just that the market decided to pick a point when the market is highs so ripe for profit taking. A lot also has to do with more lack of buyers IMO. Follow the market or trade fast if not or make a long call and just watch. CEOs will always act in the interest of the their co etiquette/correctness permitting. Easyjet ceotalking up their market, Pfizer and moderna doing the same whatever the results may be...even the opposite. Politicians are objects of the mass publics in most cases.
Better if we stick to facts and figures and market. If short good call,. Looks like most here are long so, do the long call and forget about short termism ...the immidiate future is hazy and uncertain....market hates that. Have a good day.

Shows beware or rampers and de-rampers. Follow the share price/ trend and news flow which tends to trend onto substance.
If your time frame is eg 2 yrs, then 2 yrs, short term doesn't matter although it is discomforting if you want a higher price whatever you call it. If a long term holder look at long term chart, it is ok to miss the initial 10% to be more sure, let someone else take the profit. If you are a trader it is different.
2 directions to a market and both may be correct depending on time frame. If it does not hold here technically around 136, lower support beckons. However any news will produce a knee jerk to the next support /resistance. Good luck all.

Yesterday Mercle was overturned and France announced earlier they won't lock-down. Croatia I understand is considering it.

Mercle wanted to lock-down Germany but the new incumbent was against it earlier.
