Reservoir quality

The quality of a reservoir is defined by its hydrocarbon storage capacity and deliverability. The hydrocarbon storage capacity is characterized by the effective porosity and the size of the reservoir, whereas the deliverability is a function of the permeability. Effective porosity is the volume percentage of interconnected pores in a rock. The remaining space in the rock is occupied by the framework or matrix of the rock and, if present, nonconnected pore space. Common porosity types in sandstone and carbonate rocks are listed in Table 1,

Looking forward to the next drilling UPdate which could drop at anytimein the next few day, live oil shows could see this heading to 1p judging by today's action, everyone will want a bit of Turkish Delight before the drill hits TD...Gla holders... If the stacked seismic anomalies are confirmed oil in commercial volume, this will go ballistic and those who've spent the last decade determined to undermine and deter are going to be inconsolable...he he....Can't wait!!! :-))))

Higher porosity is indicative of Higher reservoir quality if oil is found in volume. Gla holders...Excitement building in anticipation of the next UPdate...a mad dash for shares and significant jump in sp on live oil shows. :-)

Too many green warriors on state benefits hanging around share forums.....Ukog/AME are targeting stacked seismic anomalies THEY think could indicative of hydrocarbons and or high porosity which is a prerequisite for high reservoir quality...don't fret as we should have news fairly soon although like the other detractors you're going to be inconsolable if Ukog hit commercial volumes...he he....the next drilling UPDATE is expected very soon....live oil shows will be very well received..he he. If live oil is confirmed on the next UPdate, which could drop anytime with Ukog's man on site, this will fly judging by today's response. Gla holders...TD fast approaching within the next week or...if they find commercial volumes that the seismic anomalies suggests...then hold on to your hats!!! He he...On and UP!!! :-)

Jeez, who's running Rigs, clearly not you!!! Tower is awaiting news and fortunes there could quickly change when news arrives, just like here on Pinarova-1's next UPdate confirming live oil shows and you're obviously going to be inconsolable if they find commercial volumes. Lol Zxy, if you run Rigs then I'm surprised you get so much time to post long winded posts and spend so much of your time on a Aim share forum when presumably the Rigs you run are supplied to mid cap and Major....how come you have no posting history on another oiler apart from the lowly small cap Ukog???

Jeez, why are so concerned and do you spend so much time posting negative drivel...this is high risk high reward low budget oil exploration...I'm prepared for all eventualities and clearly you or not...you going to be inconsolable if they hit oil in commercial volumes.:-)

If they hit oil in commercial volumes...news in the coming days, then they'll be able to afford one of the gleaming top quality new ones you claim to work on. Gl :-)

Exciting times , the next UPdate could drop at anytime in the coming days...live oil shows will be VERY encouraging!!! Gla holders;-)

 It is planned to test any zones where good live oil shows are encountered prior to reaching the estimated total depth of around 500-550 metres. 

Pinarova-1, located 6 km north of the Basur-1 oil discovery, is designed to test a working hypothesis, supported by well and seismic data, that the active 41.7° API light oil seep found last summer in a seismic shot hole above the Pinarova structure, is directly fed by and connected to an underlying light oil accumulation of some 9 km(2) areal extent within Eocene Hoya group limestones, lying around 300-645 metres below surface (see RNS of 11(th) January 2023 and 30(th) June 2022).

The court decided that the challenge should be considered on two grounds – whether the government failed to:

Give enough consideration to harm from gas drilling on the landscape of the nearby Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
Explain inconsistencies with its decision to refuse permission for gas testing at Ellesmere Port because of carbon emissions.

Two other grounds made by Protect Dunsfold, on downstream benefits, were dismissed.

Stephen Sanderson, UKOG’s chief executive, said:

“The Company’s legal team remain robustly confident that following the extensive Loxley public inquiry, the Secretary of State’s decision to grant planning consent was thoroughly considered and entirely lawful. Consequently, we will continue to move our project ahead.”

Lol Penguins, we know all that, hence my High Risk High Reward subject header, but higher reservoir quality and/or oil accumulaion that the seismic data anomaly suggests increases the risk/reward chances...ie Ukog and AME wouldn't be drilling this location if there was no sesimic anomaly ........this is very high risk but potentially very high reward if the drill confirms what the seismic is suggesting......for those who do not like risk or can't afford to lose, then sell up and be gone or do not buy any shares in Ukog and put your money in the Ftse100.....for those who aren't adverse to risk then fill ya boots, any confirmed commercial oil accumulation will add significant value to this rock bottom low.....Tick Tock...Excitement building as we await the next drilling UPdate....On and UP!!! ;-)
