2 days ago there was nothing on site at Pennpetro Energy’s new Whistler Straits 5H well. Now we have thousands of barrels of #oil storage near the well head. Ready for the first flows from the well. ?

Drilling is expected to resume on schedule in the next few days following final wellhead and BOP pressure test.

"It is planned to drill cautiously through the Hoya target zone and to open-hole test any zones where good live oil shows are encountered prior to reaching a total depth at around 550 metres below surface."

The next drilling UPdate could drop at anytime in the coming days....confirmation of live oil shows will see this fly and then again, on any positive open-hole test data from the target zones on the way to TD. The target zones of interest are showing as stacked seismic anomalies and Ukog are hopeful the seismic anomalies are indicative of hydrocarbons. Gla holders...if Pinarova-1 is confirmed commercial, it will be a complete game changer for Ukog and truly transformational for all invested...Exciting times!!! :-)

Three groundwater monitoring boreholes have been installed at the Horse Hill oil site in Surrey, the owner UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) has announced.

In a statement to investors, the company said the boreholes were part of plans for water reinjection at the site.

UKOG said three months of baseline water testing in the boreholes was now underway before reinjection could begin.

The company’s chief executive, Stephen Sanderson, said the test boreholes were key to using the Horse Hill-2z well for water reinjection.

Horse Hill got permission to reinject water from the Environment Agency and industry regulator in May 2022. Planning permission was granted in September 2019 – but part of this decision is due to be challenged at the Supreme Court in June 2023.

They're drilling directly above the large seismic anomaly towards TD which encompasses a potential large oil accumulation according to the presentation slides ( righthand slide of the Amplitude anomalies slides...Gla holders...a large oil accumulation deemed to be commercial would see this multi-bag....Excitement building!!! :-)
