If confirmed in vivo, for example through the generation of “humanized” mice models carrying N308K/A313S, these finding could highlight the importance of targeting SIRT6 pharmacology with compounds differentially targeting its multiple enzymatic activities to regulate the co-morbidities associated with obesity.

FDA and the Fountain of Youth: Regulatory Hurdles in the Longevity Biotech Community

According to the CFR - Code of Federal Regulations Title 21, the FDA defines a disease as “damage to an organ part, structure, or system of the body such that it does not function properly”. Currently, the FDA does not recognize aging as a disease, but rather considers it a natural process. Herein poses a conundrum, the FDA approves drugs on an indication-specific basis to treat a specific disease, however, aging is not considered a disease in the eyes of the FDA. Given the FDA’s stance on not defining aging as a disease, scientists do not have a regulatory pathway forward for the approval of their therapies or drugs designed to specifically target aging. The tides may be shifting in favor of scientists, as other regulatory agencies, namely the World Health Organization, take a different stance on whether aging is a disease. In fact, “Ageing associated decline in intrinsic capacity” was recently added to the 11th Edition of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), the universal coding system for diseases and medical conditions. There is potential, that with the addition of aging into the ICD, that the FDA may revisit their stance on defining aging as a disease rather than a natural process.

Proof of concept dog trial imminent which should take 6 months and Eric already has an interested Vet Partner in place by the sounds of it. Yep, although I've got a few others that didn't quite go to plan, and wish I'd tucked a few Summ away but hey ho, we can now look forward to a potential stellar run on Genflow in the coming weeks as Eric delivers on progress made on transformational prospects and potential!!! Gl :-)

No, I got in early on recommendation from another poster called MrsApesLapTop, ( what a great name) after we made a shed load at SAR, another bio I should have held longer, where I held a couple of million at around a fifth of a penny with a market cap around half a million or so, before it rose to 1p plus and hit 4.6p the next day. Anyways, hindsight is a wonderful thing and so probably best not to dwell too much on ifs and buts.:-))) The future is with Genflow, with any luck.:-)

Ps talking about billion dollar companies, Summit Therapeutics ( Summ ) a UK biotech I originally bought in at 2.6p a few years back, I think I held almost 1 million shares , which demister here in favour of Nasdaq , now has an sp of $26 plus and a market cap of $18 billion plus. Alas, I sold my shares a long time ago , but maybe would have been prudent to hold on to a few. Anyways, a great example and real possibility of what could happen here , and a lesson learned to always keep hold of a few shares in the bottom draw on any Bio you might be invested. Event Launch

Hopefully not too long before full market appreciation as positive newsflow is delivered by Eric and his team. The previous Virtual Presentation 7/3/24 saw Jonathan Swann's 3% declaration a couple of weeks later followed by his 4.8% plus and the UK Institutional Investor, Premier Milton's 9% plus which was the catalyst for the rise in sp at that time, and so hopefully more of the same following this week's presentation, especially on the progress made and on the back of any significant news.
