Nevermind the week, should be a good month. 2 final shipments due within the next 3 weeks and production also commencing. News like today’s is just icing on the cake in terms of the value of the company.

Would be a bit hopeful receiving an update today considering the extension doesn’t finish until close of play. We might get lucky and receive something next week but I wouldn’t be expecting any news for a another couple of weeks yet.

After the drop yesterday and the not so good news this morning, there’s been a lot selling out, obviously presuming it’s going down further. Guess they weren’t expecting double the amount of buys coming in and currently 5% up.

Anyone willing to admit they got stung selling out?

As expected, no detrimental surprises. Nice to have some clarification on Batangas. I think they’ve done the right thing in writing it off for now. Positive out of it is that if Batangas had proceeded, chances are we wouldn’t have got involved with Gubong, always look for the silver lining. Maybe one day the government over there may gets its act together and allow us to mine, which we could do with income from Gubong & Koh Chang instead of having to raise.

It just means an additional 3 weeks of holding. On the plus side, the US southern states will start to see declines in Covid by then. It makes sense to open them in line with big movie releases too, as anything less would just bring in mediocre revenues.

Although not good news, it’s only bad if you’re desperate to sell in the next few weeks.

It was only a matter of time before this happened. Shumba are struggling financially and the decrease in the value of Kibo shares has destroyed their balance sheet. I’d be surprised if shumba can hold on much longer without some serious funding.

It would be interesting to see what happens with MCIPP if Shumba were to go bust.

At current they are but it may get reviewed in the southern states as Covid has only just peaked there. I imagine they’ll still open in the northern states on the 10th as Covid numbers are still declining.

Im sure we’ll see be a big change in direction of the sp once we get to the 10th though.

It’s a brilliant RNS to fair, more-so because they’ve now said they’ve received additional offers should the South Korean one fall through. As you say it’s a measly $5m, part of which we may not need if we receive all the subsidies we’re aiming for. It could be paid back within a year of mining if gold prices stay the same or go higher.

Yes you would usually enter into a non-disclosure agreement or similar, so everything will be pretty much hush hush until an offer or multiple offers are tabled.

Just sit back and enjoy the ride. In a few months you may be sitting in a brand new house or car and this could all be a distant memory.

Chris, it purely comes down you as an individual and your current financial position. Most ‘seasoned’ professional traders will actually advise you to hold and ride things out. Provided the share you have chosen is in a sound position it will usually always turn a profit eventually. On the otherhand, people do make a lot of money by trading. Sell at a loss and buy-in at a lower price to increase your holding. There is an increased risk though as you could end up solidifying you loss. Cine is a prime example, if you are a gambler in nature, now may be you last opportunity to sell-out and buy in lower, but then again it may not. Holding long term there’s a very high likelihood that you’ll make a positive return. Unfortunately it might not be as much as if you were to take a loss now and buy in lower.

I’d said a while back that without news I can see us dropping back to our pre-Covid position of between 70 and 80p. Is looking likes we’ll be there in the next couple of weeks seeing the number of sells we’ve had at late.

On the plus side, it was nice to see how quickly we jumped past 1p. When / if funding is finally secured this should fly.

I’m curious as to what proposal will be put forward to provide ‘headroom’. If it’s just increasing the number of shares in issue, then so be it. It’s the consolidation aspect I’d prefer to avoid as it just decimated any value to existing shareholders.

My point was that even though we follow the FTSE, cinemas re-opening in 2 weeks around the globe will have a positive effect on the share price, even if Covid is still rife in the US meaning their opening were to be slightly delayed.

I’m guessing there’s a few that don’t like the waiting game here.

strongboes, I respect your view but it quite a big assumption for a company that just 2 months ago reported an after tax profit of $293m possibly going under in 9 months.

Yes, next years results will be disastrous which we all know but when you’re making that much profit and paying off huge debts in the process funding wouldn’t be difficult to obtain should it be required to cover short term costs.

LC did this over and over again at KIBO, can’t believe it’s happening here too. Considering we’ve just sold off Imweru and are in finance discussions with “14” investors, you have to wonder why we need to raise for working capital now.

Yes First Equity’s broker note on KIBO’s website from 2018 has them valued at 15p or 30p once everything is up and running. The 15p valuation is fair given the potential. Unfortunately LC needs to get us there first, which only time will tell.

In 2 weeks Cinemas will be open again. This is when we’ll start to see movement in the share price. Yes, there’s some scepticism around the US due to their recent rise in Covid, but once revenue starts coming in from a number of other countries it will inevitably have a positive effect. You’ve got to remember we tend to roughly follow suite with the FTSE. I’ve been hear since sub 40p and most days the FTSE is up so are we, when it’s down so are we. If Cinemas in America are delayed in opening it’s unlikely to have a huge effect if the FTSE follows an upward trend at the same time.

Couldn’t agree more. The US has had a huge spike in cases, which you have to assume was due to the protesting because of the steep increase. Shame actually because they were on a nice downward trend of cases per day. Give it a month, cinemas will be open again and America will finally have Covid under control.

I’m in the same boat, if I had more funds I’d probably top-up right now. I may even have to move some funds around to do so.
