Capital markets day targeting £2 billion in medium term .Growth trajectory to continue.

Volex appears fairly valued when compared with its American competitors.

NR’s interest north of £250 million . No significant directors sales.

Volex still targeting acquisitions, but at some point in the future would expect NR will exit with significant profit.

Awaiting directors purchases following their belief that McBride is undervalued. Buybacks don’t appear to have the desired impact.

With ~1billion revenue and eps north of 20p a corporate raider may be lurking.

NR has steered Volex to a 1billion capitalisation in -10 years from less than 100 million in 2015. Interesting to hear future plans at Capital markets day.

Would expect these to re rate once sales pick up. However patience may be required as is the case for SDI and Sys group.

Noted in 2023 senior sales execs sold a significant quantity of shares just before they crashed….and similarly for SDI where the FD Mike Creedon off loaded a significant quantity of shares just befor exiting the company. Both have still to recover to their former highs. CE of Sys has purchased ~11 %. Would be happier if senior sales execs and directors self funded share purchases rather than exercise their share options. P i’ have do their own research based on publicly available info.

NR and new chairman see ‘enormous’opportunities for Volex ,who compete with Amphenol and TE technologies. The latter have revenues approx 10 times that of Volex and their P E’s are substantially higher. At some point in the future Volex may be an acquisition target .

There has been a marked increase in shares traded over the past few weeks notwithstanding share buybacks. Could be stakebuilding . Expecting an RNS announcement.

If the SP keeps on drifting as it has been since Dumac off loaded a sizeable stake then others may see value in McBride.

Amphenol has trebled in value whilst TE connectivity has doubled. Volex meanwhile has been range bound over the 3 year period.

Over the past 3 years despite increased revenue/ profits (and debt) the SP appears range bound. Competitors Amphenol, TE connectivity have seen increased valuations.

Perhaps NR may look to unlock value by listing in USA foregoing the moribund UK markets ? He may have a target price for his 25% holding when the time comes to exit Volex.

A trading update ,perhaps next week may point to direction of travel for the SP.

Although Dumac have gradually offloaded their shareholding, the major shareholder Teleios and the directors have not reduced theirs.Would view this as a positive.

NR sees India as a future growth market . Also admires Amphenol. Seems very positive on achieving 5 year targets.

Volex is still undervalued when compared to its American competitor Amphenol. Today’s rise brings it back to where the SP was last year.

In agreement with your price range although with a global reach , would compare with their competitors but being listed in the UK has its disadvantages when compared with American counterparts.

With recent capacity expansion in Batam,Indonesia ; Pune , India and recently announced construction of new manufacturing plant in San Luis Potosí would expect Volex SP to reach fair value within 12 months.

Alluvial Capital and Zeus see further value in McBride. A possible trading update may provide further impetus. With cost of living increasing households are turning to private label .It seems that a dividend will be announced with final results reported in September.

Noted that recently NR stated that Vlx was undervalued. Despite increased revenue, profits (&debt) and an optimistic trading update in Jan the SP continues to languish at around its value from around 3 years ago. A full year trading update might be expected next month. Can’t see any catalyst for a rerate in the immediate future, considering the current debt level which may preclude further acquisitions?

Would have thought there may be some director buys ,showing confidence in future prospects. The CEO of 10years has been well rewarded for lacklustre performance.

P/E ratio drops to single digits on this year’s forecast earnings. American competitor Amphenol ‘s ratio is well into double figures . Would expect Volex to re rate . Similar situation with Mcbride.

Volex has lost 30% of its value in less than 6 months. Although NR ‘s other investments have appreciated in value ….Insg , Dlar, TTG , they haven’t made up the loss in Volex. Would hope that NR would focus more on Volex.
