The way I see it is there is no way I am selling any OMI shares at this stage. We have been through a really hard few months with this share and today's news is what anyone who has held this share long term expected that this is "Elephant country" term Brad used historically and the drill results today have proved it.
This really is only the beginning. Selling this now and you miss out on massive gains coming long term like GGP and SOLG saw when they were sub £100m market cap. I am not saying that there will not be pull backs but this is a game changing moment and if you are a long term investor this is a fantastic share to be in. I am hoping / expecting new highs on this share now.
Exciting times ahead.
Absolutely agree I can see this hitting new highs over the coming weeks. I am not selling a bean as difficult to load on this share. Make no mistake this has share has the potential to have a market cap in the 100 millions like SOLG and GGP etc. We already have 2 majors on board and the gold grades are fantastic so not much holding use back. The current market cap is only £40m after today's rise that really is nothing. We could easily be £100m plus.
Yes, great RNS. This share has historically been so over sold. We were right down unfairly in my view. Great to see us back but still cheap at these prices. This has way / way more legs to run. Expecting solid gains over the coming days weeks as people hear the news and release what an amazing prospect this share is. Love the below on todays RNS
"Economically, such shoots could be highly significant as they would likely be of extreme importance for any operation at APTA, and therefore represent the primary target for ongoing drilling.
The mineralisation thus far extends over a strike length in excess of 800m and remains open in several directions according to the most recent interpretation of the mineralisation."
Remains open in several directions, means there is so much more to come.
OMI is partnered with 2 major mining companies for a reason so have faith this share is a great long term investment. Still very cheap at these prices in my view.
Amazing news today wow this should fly on the back of that as news spreads. LOAD UP TIME on this share at these prices silly cheap. I am increasing my holding on this and will not be selling a bean. Like others have said £1 plus here we come.
Looks like Colombia is getting more and more interest in the mining world. 4th June Gran Colombia completes deal with Gold X for the creation of a new Mid-Tier Latin American Gold Producer.
Also Newcrest CEO saying he is looking for opportunities in South America see link below

I appreciate we are working with Newmont not Newcrest but the point is that Colombia is getting more and more interest.
Meant Phase 2 not 3.
With the RNS confirmation today it will be interesting to see price action on FAR this week. Maybe it is the green light that some institutional investments have been waiting for. Sir Mick has made a lot of people very wealthy and big money follows him around so would not be surprised if we start to see a re-rate on the share price going forward.
Also I think the reason for the extended feasibility study is to expedite the phased approach and move more quickly to phase 3.
Yes, great to get the RNS confirmation today. This is a new beginning for FAR now. What FAR needed was money and a great management team and we have that now. It is amazing to have Sir Mick as Chairman it is going to be an absolute game changer for FAR. Onwards and upwards.
Hoping for new 52 week high this week so above 47p. Such amazing prospects for this share. Not selling a bean. Enjoying the ride.
I have emailed FAR asking them to consider a regular progress update to the market so ideally once a month. I explained that lack of any news is always a negative for any share price. So we will see if it makes any difference.
I will give it until the end of play tomorrow, if we still get nothing I think we should email them saying what is going on and that it would be extremely helpful to have a once a month update on how things are progressing. If they do that it would be good for everyone.
What I like about FAR and why I have loaded on it so much is that there is no question that the resource is massive and it really has everything going for it. All it needs is money and a great management team and now that part of the puzzle should be sorted with Sir Mick on board so unlike so many other mining shares were there are so many question marks over resource size etc this one now has everything going for it. We just need regular updates from FAR on how things are progressing so hopefully once Sir Mick is confirmed as Chairman the company will be run in a much more professional way.
I agree that Market value vs NPV will never equate and that market value will always be lower but looking at the current share price of 31p we are so massively off that there is big upside coming. What FAR management need to do is have a rocket up them so they start progressing things much faster and hopefully Sir Mick and his new team will be that rocket. That is why FAR is only at 31p we need progress and more news.
Very interesting the post on Monday by WayneJ re Newmont buying GT Gold. You have to say there is potential for Newmont to buy out OMI. Really hope that does not happen for a while as it would be a steal at the current market cap of OMI . As others have said we are at rock bottom prices at the moment with this share.
Hi GloucesterR, thanks for sharing that CRUX Interview. I had not seen it before. I was doing some calculations so with a NPV of $2 Billion that converted into pounds is £1,412,500,000 that divided by shares in issue which is 343,000,000 equates to £4.11 share price. Please correct me if I am wrong. We have a long way to go and I think this year will be transformational for FAR so potential for massive gains coming in the years ahead. I would be very surprised if we are not over the £1 mark by the end of the year.
Well exactly, can't say that everyone has not had a chance to load up.
Feels like a game of attrition with this share at the moment but clearly a lot is going on in the background and we can get an RNS at any stage so it is a matter of patience.
