RE: Harryshang. Your 18.17 post,second paragraph.....17 Feb 2026 10:11
Right guys....there are 2 games going on here. The one we're interested in, oil and gas, and the one the US Department of Energy are interested in which is the wider geology of the Paradox, improving oil and gas production there, lithium brines and carbon storage. Lithium is important as apparently that found in the area is EV battery production grade making the US less dependent on China and carbon storage is important as they can pump CO2 into the Paradox basin and the geology of it traps it.
Now you might think to yourself what does all this have to do with little Zephyr - don't we just want our 20 well drilling campaign funding?? Obviously yes, but your big players like ExxonMobil and Chevrons of this world are into all those areas I mentioned. They can get 3 or 4 bangs for their buck in the Paradox and have the cash to make it all happen and do a great deal for the US in the process. Example: https://lowcarbon.exxonmobil.com/
By the same token ZPHR aren't stupid either, they don't want to leave anything on the table and partnering with the wrong partner might do just that. Now we have had the huge CPR reserve increases too (from only a proportion of our acreage), we start to come onto the radar of the big players.
In short, I have no indication which way this is going myself, but there is a big, big play emerging and we're front and centre.
