I know I'm not very bright but I can't understand why we need another consolidation with only440m shares in issue, enlighten me, please.
I made a bad mistake and bought when they were about a quid, I thenlet the missus persuade me to sell at 2quid. Who is a stupid Southerner! I hope I've learned the lesson "Trust the balance sheet rather than individuals"!
Now is the time to buy oilies with a strong balance sheet. Imo the Saudies have attained rheir objective, to destroy the frackers, they will now want to let the price rise again.
Jolly: DBL made it pretty clear at the only meeting I was able to attend that he had no time for PI's. He is one of those who gives capitalism a bad name. imo.
It's very sad, this used to be an excellent company until they took over a failing company, the rest is history!
Couldn't agree more, I'd written this one off and was amazed to see one morning that there was still a flicker of life here, so let's not put it out by clamouring for a divi. too soon.
This has every prospect of becoming a great company but there seems something lacking in management.
They can hardly claim that any future losses are due to the hiigh value of the pound. Perhaps the Sun will now shine on us now.
There is so much rubbish posted on the other board that it would be nice if we could have nice sensible conversations on here. My FA who is well connected in the Insurance industry thinks this is well undervalued and as he is also well informed on the TIG saga I am happy to take his advice so I've bought more. The problem has been the ramping and counter advice that has caused rapid spikes that have unfortunately attracted too many investors who want to wait until a share is rising before buying! Still I must put my hand up to having bought one lot at 190p!
I wish it were, in fact it is rational given the political instability in North Africa even before the emergence of ISIL, imo it's a great buy for those prepared to face the high risk..
Mike was clearly much younger than most of the other members of the board who have, I think, lived a fairly cloistered life, I know if I had been Mike, who had no doubt studied modern management theory, I would have been seriously upset had my concerns not been taken seriously. This is of course only one possible scenario; as for your second question that is really one for the AGM
Buying into a Sub Saharan lender looks a great move, Tanzania alone is business friendly and has all the raw materials and attitude to grow fast, hopefully with cooperation at Board level this should prove very profitable. That Divi gives a real morale boost each time we get it!
If Mike resigned simply because he had a much higher pay offer then I think we can accept his departiure wothout too much concern; if he left because of frustration, then perhaps we have a real problem with the board who do not seem to be fulfilling their function satisfactorily.
With commodity prices now appearing to have stabalised this hould now start to move up, it is just a pity it has a rather large holding in RRR which in my opiniion has a rathe large ? over it. With the share price so low, now would seem a good time for a top up.
Juan It's a scam, when the markets get volatile all the crooks come out to relieve you of your cash/shares, they get your name from the share register and assume you are in physical possession of the shares. I used to get loads of these type of call as I hold my shares on Crest, just ignore unless you want to get ripped off!.
Very sad imo, Mike seems a very nice young man and I wish him well but obviously he will be heavily dependant on the Chairman. It seems to me strange that the board of this company don't seem to realize that a sig.nificant part of their problem is their reluctance to pay a dividend. I only hope they are not eqully short sighted with their employees!
Perhaps Mr. Rea can persuade DL to leave the running of the company to the CEO. We really need to get away from the overreliance on the USA. My mistake I should have sold.
http://www.prodiflex.com/dewatering.html, I found this on the ACP board and although it's set in South Africa it is very relevant to TEG it may take a while longer but almost inevitably environmental pressure will bring us good returns!
Bought this for yield but it now looks good for growth too!
Nick, I must agree at this price SVE is a steal even more so with the very good chance that we are about to enter a bull market for gold. At the moment the fashion is for Oil & gas so even the very good news for AAU still leaves the share price going down. Unfortunatley, as far as I know, there are no significant oil shares in the SVE portfolio but there are a lot of very interesting miners so for any contrarian I say get in now. I'm a bit stuck as wife has threatened all sorts of sanctions if I go overdrawn again!
