To me this looks to be a very undervalued share. It seems worth buying for the dividend alone, while the outlook for the future looks promising. Why am I not investing more? Simple I'm skint.

Amazing that with one of its biggest holdings, RRR, rising today, down it goes. I'm afraid there are a lot like me, skint!

I've held SDM for about ten years. The only problem is that they are such a reliable company with a nice dividend that I tend not to pay them any attention. I certainly can't disagree with the IC's "buy" recomendation; I'm up 25% on purchase price!

With the share price this low its a very tempting buy, although it could go bust its a good risk/reward ratio imo. I'm content to sit on my fairly cheap million plus shares and let events take their course.

Sorry to be a cynic but although VIY may be better than this they have had so many placings at rock bottom prices that the chance of large gains looks remote to me. I'm suffering a 4 grand loss on VIT one so would love to see it come good and possibly will by 2020 until then I prefer BMR!.

Last year I inadvertently bought another 60000 instead of selling. I'm begining to think now that ,unintentionally I may have done the right thing. The electronics market seems to be holding up well and Tunisia seems quiet so with luck I'll see a profit!

I find it interesting that with a 39% discount to NAV SVE share price remains so depressed. One would think that the world was awash with metals, that China was about to collapse, that the world's population had stopped growing and that people would willingly give up their toys. I notice that the widely forecast collapse of the gold price hasn't happened and there are indications now that gold will soon be back on an upward trend which should be good for the gold miners in the portfolio. I'd be interested to see other views on this subject.

Given the mess the politicians have made of rescuing the Euro this is a great performance by Accsys. Their business model should enable them to survive and grow even if the banks get even more reluctant to lend than they are now. The hardwood forests are still disappearing at an alrming rate and there are a lot of disadvantages with plastic so I'm lookinking for the price to double in the next couple of years. This is not a forecast probably just a pious hope if world economies contract much more.

I didn't really expect an increase in the price today, everything else I own seems to be down, unfortunately not one of my major investments.

BHP Billiton are to invest $245M in coal mine in New South Wales. If they can see a profit this one should start to pay off after the next placing/rights issue.

if Peter G is investing; he's had great success with bringing companies back from the near dead, and TEG is far from dead.

Have held since the old Bulgin days. What a change! The only thing that remains the same is the very attractive dividend. It will be interesting to see how the, relatively, new managers cope with this prolonged downturn.

When I know how much I owe the builder, I'm having a few more of these. Hopefully it will be a nice steady rise from here.

One wonders when, if ever, the company will pay a dividend it has certainly made sufficient profit to do so. I aplaud GB's desire to create a centre of technological exellence around Leeds and the universities so long as he doesn't take his eye off the ball and allow the company to slip back into deficits.

I bought far too few of these early in the year; The big question is should I top up now or wait until the EU leaders have completely screwed up?

Surprised to see this recommended as a buy by one of the Money Week stable. Nice to know its getting some recognition at last. The basis of the advice was that it produces equipment for use in LED lighting which as any holder of Dialight knows is doing very nicely. SDM has a very nice and regular dividend too. What more can we ask

I bought these against advice of accountant 'cause I like the look of the product. So far its doing well. I would have liked to use their wood rather than poly when I repaced the double glazed windows 2009 but couldn't get any enthusiasm from anyone.

This one looks seriously undervalued compared with its peers. It has fewer political problems than almost all the others! What have I got wrong?

I think and hope that the company will now go through a less exciting process of consolidation before taking off again in the future. To me it seems as if the Board are great at finding opportunites for big profits but one cannot expect them every day. I don't expect large increases in the dividend every year although they will, hopefully, match inflation. Who knows, if the Eurozone collapses all bets are off!
