Adrian Hargrave, CEO of SEEEN, explains how the new funds will accelerate customer growth Watch the video here.
I enjoyed that one. Kudos!
@yellow1 yeah sure and operating temperature of 300 degree isn't a fire risk.
The lithium fires in South Korea and Arizona were the result of bad installation/operation/poor cells.
Should the BMS operate the battery correctly then there is no real reason for a fire. which is why the IHS Markit is predicting 11 GW of mostly lithium to be installed by 2025.
Excellent, someone with some understanding on the energy storage market and flow batteries.
Correct, the digital inertia provided by flow batteries is roughly 30-36 times that of conventional generation therefore for a frequency response application (duration sub-1 hour) then battery storage is the way forward. Lithium or flow, it doesn't matter as long as the response time is sub second which allows the system to recovery faster. As seen during that outage when the system frequency dipped, batteries discharged, the frequency spiked, batteries charged, frequency dipped (on second outage), batteries discharged and then the support capacity came back online.
The only issue we have here is that the cost of capacity. Flow batteries have a lower cost of storage as they typically favour longer duration but have lower energy density that lithium making them poor power producers. Once you enter the realm of long-duration storage and seasonal storage. Highview and the CAES/LAES players start coming into the picture.
In reference to the projects. Yes, I was seeing if someone had actually done some research rather than consistently reference what is essentially a dead project. I'm excited my Invinity but assuming they will be targeting FFR in the UK is ridiculous as the market is saturated. The next best markets are the USA and Australia and I've heard nothing about projects starting there. So my conclusion - no reason for the share price to double.
Yes, I'm aware of the project that was announced in 2016 and has spent the past 4 years doing nothing and is yet to break ground on phase 1. 100 MW has been accomplished by Fluence and Tesla/Neoen as well as a few others players. NGK have a massive sodium sulphur project already built.
Please point me to an example of a multi-MWh scale flow battery that has been built in the last couple of years?
No. Not even close.
The response required to balance the outage UKPN suffered last year - which plunged London into darkness was in the order of 1.8 GWh - in the space of 30 mins around 500 MW of (lithium) battery energy storage responded and helped get the grid back online. The equivalent volumes needed for this company to achieve that kind of impact is huge.
Not saying it's impossible but it warrants a massive amount of investment and yes flow batteries are a much better long duration solution to lithium but are nowhere near the scalability yet. Now I could be wrong but there is currently nothing to support the share price rise apart from for 3 reasons. Background buyer loading up because they love the tech, someone in the know - knows a contract/installations is coming or (unfortunately) a pump for placing as the company need more funds to expand.
I mean even if you were taking it on face value...you have options in a company worth 4p - current share price is 13x that price...YES PLEASE EXERCISE MY OPTIONS
The share price drops for what? Offer goes from 3.7 down to 3.1 for no reason...3 trades in the day result in a 9% swing. Utterly ridiculous. Whoever is trying to "make a market" really does suck at it.
If AC has taken some of the funds from the bank and dumped it into some COVID stocks and is now sitting on loads more cash ready for the next investment.
Now that would be amazing!
I have seen several similar comments on the topic of demand for testing slowing down.
Personally, I won't be returning to work, using public transport, going to mass gatherings until I know I have at least some defence against the virus. AVCT and ODX, are the anti-gen/anti-body test kits that will become commonplace in the near future. Beyond 2021 we may encounter something similar but for now. Test everyone and find out who is really at risk!
ODX over UEX? Yeah for sure. There's no telling when this will land...if it will land.
Death rates dip at the weekend for the UK and always higher on a Tuesday therefore COVID and specifically testing plays are still very much in focus.
Yeah I agree it's not GGP. Like many here we either bought into GGP and sold out or are still holding to get the direct interest. PRIMS main play is Engage - GGP is just a sweetener
Rupert adding more to his position. Up to 14.3% now. Decent holding!
Something must have been leaked if there a was a buy at 3.7? That's comfortably above the offer and it's substantial!
2 x 300k buys marked as sells. Wouldn't have said they were caught out but the tick up from 3.2 to 3.5 would suggest they don't have much to sell.
Lol...good joke there Taff8! Not a chance this is a 100 bagger.
It was definitely someone with a "following" dropping this share on the page and suddenly 17% becomes 15% up. Quite easy when the liquidity is low and ~10 people all buy in at the same time.
You mean these private institutions that are paid for by the families of those residents? I have personally reported the care home near us, because the manager came to our house without gloves and held her facemask to her face instead of wearing it. I have since heard that their practice was to move from room to room not changing gloves etc. Thus transporting the virus from room to room. Thankfully this has now stopped but over 25% have died as a result of poor practice. This is most certainly not the governments fault - and I'm sure this is the same story elsewhere.
Yeah exactly. I'll be at least 18-months before something workable is marketed. AVCT have something that neutralises it but you still have to be infected for it to have an effect.
Testing is needed! ODX - come on and produce the goods.
Hold on...you're not a troll or ramper but you were not expecting the news today?
How were you not expecting the news today? The entire BB was expecting this news sooner or later - it's not like the company has been working on something else over the passed few weeks. Such a bizarre post!
