My guess is investors getting in before March results. The price has been steady for a while now. Still undervalued based on MCAP and well off historic highs when the business was inferior to what it is now...

On the plus side, debt is also in $. Good long term hold here. It's doing right by its 3 year turnaround plan. Year 1 has gone to plan. Div reinstated, which I wasn't expecting in the last update even if its relatively low.

Div is also in USD. Better yields elsewhere if you're just after income

Ticking nicely. As covid passes and offshore picks up even more, tekmar should benefit. Slow and steady

I see the shorts have increased 7.87% on shortracker site. This is up from 7.1% on 2nd Feb. Still volatility here but good to see a general uplift today and higher oil price.

I don't see shorting pressure disappearing soon. Its a case to wait this out, absorb any fine and move on.

Published yesterday on BEIS website. Industrial energy use down only "nearly 10%" from Q4 2019. Renewables generation up.

It's easy to forget that the primary casualty of covid has been travel and transport etc. Offices have remained open with WFH and skeleton staff on premises and many restaurants have flipped to takeaway only. I know locally takeaways are busy as usual and restaurants have a steady flow of delivery people coming and going.

Maybe I'm missing something but why would this case directly answer the case of any case against Petrofac? The only impact is PI taking signs that if Lufkin's outcome is lenient then it might imply the same possibly for Petrofac. That wouldn't necessarily be true anyway

The scepticism should be fully out of the window now. Yu called in the FCA, got extra audits done beyond what was required and deliberately turned away business for better credit risk.

Covid has dampened progress but there has been significant progress nonetheless . Sparky might be right with the 1-2M profit FY 2021. I anticipate lower but the momentum taking this to profits in FY2022 alot higher than 1-2M

Drops in travel stocks today reflect the new restrictions. An opportunity to buy and hold for when travel returns. I didn't expect summer holidays to be in full swing for air travel and certainly not Easter. I think winter at the earliest

I agree. Oil price rise is more about supply and hopes of the new US stimulus. Usage is not accelerating and the world is still moving towards renewables. But Petrofac supports energy as a whole and that inc wind and it also inc decommissioning oil platforms like the Australia contract.

Petrofac SP is down where it is because of the SFO investigation and shorting. The company has expertise that clients want and the history to justify contract wins.

For offshore wind supply chain specifically, I'm not aware. I've stuck with Tekmar. If you're interested in the renewables space in general inc. Wind power, then you have many options inc those mentioned below.

Yep. I'd be worried if the volume was sky high but its been lower so far this week compared with last. I'll continue to hold and add when I can.

In general, FWIW, I look more at the industry and the company first before obsessing on the SP itself. The SP will follow. BP only today announced a large wind farm investment near Ireland. Other projects will come online in the near future (see BEIS and ofgem). These will increase ROCs and keep a lid on wholesale prices. Yu will benefit.

Petrofac is rising alongside price of oil. The court case is a grey cloud over Petrofac but there will be no immediate action against Petrofac anyway. Any possible fine in the future, if there ever is one, does create uncertainty. I'm holding for now at these prices because I expect a quick jump whenever SFO proceedings end. The same happened with Indivior. The SFO is unrealistically going to put Petrofac oit of business or force it to fund raise

Once the investor roadshow etc. gets going, even a small successful will drive the SP a lot higher than it is now purely because of low free float.

Not much of a drop IMO in light of recent weeks. The SP is holding up very well and has room to rerate further. Current mcap is still low. The next catalyst is March results unless a holding or acquisition RNS comes before.

We're approaching double volume compared with daily volume of this week... and the SP is up! I'm hoping a RNS in the coming weeks. A big II would be wonderful.

I was clearly wrong below. Volume is close to 100k already with mainly buys. I think the large buyer isn't finished yet and isn't waiting for the weekend either.

I prefer "non-topical" shares like Yu. Ones where you're not expecting a weekend news article to determine boom or bust for the Monday... it is a sold company in its own right that did the right thing in 2018 and since...

I'm expecting a slight sell off today from profit takers et al but a gradual incline to March results at least. The 100k volumes this week with SP increase does point to a buyer who I doubt will sell straight away. In other words, better SP support now compared with only a few weeks ago.
