The German chancellor is in China for backdoor negotiations.

Germany knows the gas pipelines were deliberately targeted to prevent it going back on Russian sanctions. But with the mood music changing in Europe over winter, it won't take much, to drop the Ukraine cause.

Plus the Russian's are planning a large offensive as soon as the hard frost's arrive. Ukraine is close to defeat. Best save lives and misery for all and go for peace talks.

Agree Mac. The war won't stop a deal. However, peace talks post the midterm elections, would restore confidence and boost the SP and perhaps make the sale, more valuable.

The key to the timeline is the war ending.

DFS next month will unlock the deal, but if it coincides with a peace talks and an end to the war, then we shoot back towards 20p.
