JohnHenry, I see 9.50 as bottom. MMs trying to create some volume. This is ridiculous now. Company sitting c.£30m in Cash which is almost half in MCap alone.

Need to buy more. Waiting for funds to clear, damnnn.... Way Oversold. Snow Leopard Spud in July, upside over +200 MMBO from 5 zones, Any strike here opens up additional +500Mmbo barrels.... No brainer.

Hallowed, Well said. Some obvious doom merchants about trying to create panick, to get in lower. You know the usual suspects. Noticed Echo drill came in higher than expected from original guidance. Although overall prospects there were small to begin with, but illustrates the point that wells can come in higher than mean estimates provided. MATD first Spud 'Snow Leopard' in July has 90MMBO mean estimate from first 2 primary targets. Additional 3 secondary targets have Upside of over 200 MMBO. So overall Snow Leopard (Block V) is targeting much higher barrels. Lot of folks have simply overlooked that. Wild Horse to come straight after Snow Leopard, has mean 490Mmbo recoverable with upside of 750MMBO barrels.

MMs know their game and will create volume going forward to clear the overhang bit quicker. MMs are good at it, happens on all shares all the time. Fully diluted price immediately after the Placing was about 12.26p. Price initially drops back towards the Placing price before it finds equilibrium towards the fully diluted price as market adjusts and absorbs the extra shares.

SM123, No body is spooked mate. I am not. Flippers / placees can sell some at 10p or just under 10p if they want to. They can sell some bit over 10p....their decision. It makes no difference to my Exit price. I can see cheap shares being bought today by some savvy investors. It's not where you start.....but where you End / Exit is what defines size of your profit. Each to their own.

Agree. Temporary pain for us but any overhang will clear sooner or later. Gift at these prices for anyone wanting to get exposure to 6 fully funded drills. Upside case over +1.5 Billion barrels so far. 6 drills cover 5 Basin openers. Very compelling economics + Pro-Oil Govt wanting to become self sufficient with domestic oil.

Colonel, Now that would be very cheeky but clever move.

Hallowed, BPC is very different case. Deep, Offshore, expensive drills. Each drill costing c. $60m at least. Govt referendum killed momentum there. Drop in US oil price in $20 and $30 range just buried it as extraction costs are far higher for Deep offshore wells and were not deemed economic for any farminees. MATD has pro-oil Govt support starting construction of that New oil refinery soon. Has very low cost Onshore drills. Fully funded. Robust economics.

So if they announce a 'Farm In' Pre Spud and price is up +100% on news...,would they still say PI got robbed ?...just a thought.

But 'Farminees' have expressed interest in both FOX and Red Deer, that got highlighted on the seismics AFTER previous fund raise. Negotiations could already be happening in the background as we speak....who knows. Could simply be a question of how much % MATD willing to give and at what price? Imho.

13 June RNS... "The completion of this Placing will strengthen the Company's financial position and thus negotiating position with potential farminees. As there are still a number of interested parties, the Company does not rule out bringing in a farminee, if on favourable terms, prior to the commencement of drilling in July 2018."...

SM123, Agree, recent placing timing was bit off, but got to take a step back and think about it with a cool head. None of us are privy to any ongoing negotiations in the background. FULLY Funded for 6 drills is quite a big deal. Cannot see ANY other AIM Oil explorer to make such a claim. He11, I am down quite a few thousand myself, but it's just on paper. Just need more volume to clear any overhang and price should respond higher accordingly closer to Spud or during Spud OR both. Time will tell. Lot more to come in the next 3-6 months and beyond. Any Oil shows and this should be at Multiples.

MON1, Not sure why some here are questioning honesty OR transparency issues with company's management? On the contrary they have laid out the reasons for additional fund raise with full breakdown of 'Use of Proceeds' section. What else can they say?...even mentioned possibility of 'Farm In' at the right price. To me it suggests, some of those interested parties either made 'low ball' offers OR trying to get the best deal for themselves. Mike Buck on the other hand wants to get best price for 'Us'. May be the additional placing in super quick time and still Oversubscribed was his reply to them lot to Pay Up....no cheap tickets here. Yes speculation but there is only so much he can say within rules & guidelines.

Fundraiser, You said same after last Placing. Still rose over +100% from Placing price. Any overhang will clear & market will absorb shares accordingly just like last time. Major difference this time around is we are about to start the 4 drill campaign unlike last Placing which was many months away before Spud. We hit July in just 10 days.

Notcricketjack, We can all speculate as to the real reasons behind the latest fund raise. But if it secures funding for MATD well into 2019, then this company is in a very good place. Look at other oil explorers having to raise funds. Most recent fund raise at Ukog at 0.9p??? Ukog have diluted that company to death with c.4.8 Billion shares in issue and still more dilution to come there from further loan conversion notes. Also 'What IF', MATD management wanted to force the hand of those interested 'Farminees' to make an offer now. After any strike on either or both Snow Leopard & Wild Horse, the price goes up substantially. Farm-In is the 'wild card' that can be played "ANYTIME", before OR even during the drills. IMHO, DYOR.
