Its not just UKOG - look at ANGS and UJO for very similar examples over the years. So little REALLY happens that is important that they have to generate news at any cost to enable their friends in the City to make money in the meantime

No system publishes accurate Buy/Sell information. This site rates it as a sell (red) if your TRADE Price is lower than the mid price in the published range - if your TRADE price is above the mid point of the quoted range it's rated as a BUY (Blue)

It's really useless - why they persist with it is beyond everyone................ and before you ask there is no way you can actually tell the difference - you'd need access to the order books of every trader all the time and that isn't possible for anyone - not even the Stock Exchange

Not so - many , in fact most rules & regs in the UK are passed as Administrative Instruments which are specifically allowed under teeh the law. Break them and you will end up in court

regretfully LTH remember a series of such RN'S before Brockham, SFB and the financing. ANGS aren't the only ones guilty of wild over optimism (and that's being very generous). Every small AIM oiler issues a stream of RNS's trying to show progress before finally getting caught by the reality..

The OWC - the OIL WATER contact is higher than thought = more water and less oil in the structure - can you not understand this? And the increasing water cut reduces the amount of oil you can produce and also isolates portions of the remaining oil. This is production engineering 1.01

You forget there is nor production history over that period with water breakthrough. Plug that data into a reservoir model and a lot of the oil thought to be there is actually water

Your assumption is wrong - ECRE are one of the best respected of UK O&G Consultancies. If they came up with a different number to the earlier CPR its because of the data collected in the period between the two evaluations. We know that Trice got the geological and reservoir model totally wrong - that's why he left. It will be interesting to see if and when a new CPR is commissioned and who does it (Xodus are probably the front runner) - with even more data it will, of course, be different from CPR#2 - the big questions is by how much?.
