Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Ptrotter: Since we have not received any operational updates on progress the only thing you can go with is the 45-60 day range. Once out of that range I would expect some form of update to shareholders. If TD has already been achieved then i would expect an update soonest stating exactly that.
I was expecting something more back, but its understandable.
As the vaccine roll out increases and that's priority both politically as well as saving lives. Where does it leave all the companies who have made big bucks with their tests?
4me on this board so this is directed at the bio tech savvy of you guys.
Given that Novacyt has delivered in 2020 (unlike Avacta, one of my previous holdings), will its PCR tests for Covid-19 be affected by (if I take UK as an example) the multiple vaccine roll out? I know that testing will still be required for the significant future but how will it distinguish between A, B, and C where:
A = non-vaccinated person with Covid
B= vaccinated person with Covid
C= vaccinated person without Covid
My understanding is that all vaccines will generate Covid antibodies which is what the PCR tests looks for???
Friday's results and price drop certainly offer an opportunity to invest here but I would appreciate some clarification on the validity of the tests post vaccine roll out. There was no indication in the results what portion of the record revenue was down to Covid-PCR sales but I expect a decent chunk.
@egg.. These idiots only see what their tiny minds believe.

Answers from you all on post cards what we do when you turn the choke valves off?
There is ramping and just looking at the potential numbers.
10,000 bbl/d, 5% royalties and 50% to Tomco equates to 4,750 bbl/d. Let's assume a conservative 335 days of operation and POO is $55 and cost to produce are $25.
Profit from operations is $39.8 MM!
With that return I am sure there will be plenty of institutions willing to lend money to build the 10k plant.
This all of course requires continued good news from the POSP trials. However way you look at it the numbers are staggering.
Based on profit alone, the 700k warrants, and another 50% share dilution an SP of around 10p is not out of the question.
I eagerly await the final FEED report.
@Dunder.. lol he was always on about the massive interest in the DR, and yes of course the Major. Or was he referring to the old bloke in Faulty Towers?
@Tovoc - Wressle costs are arouns $18/bbl -Given that it will represent the lions share of Europa's onshore production I wonder where data room Hugh got his figures from.
I expect to hear some good news next week concerning Wressle production and the BOD can focus on Ireland and Morocco knowing that a decent income stream will be coming into its bank account. I would however like to see a forward plan and cost schedule covering 2021 and 2022. In essence how this money be spent.
@Spudz - You will find all you need to know here https://www.tomcoenergy.com/the-oil-sands-opportunity/
my point was about getting a lower IR which seems to have been missed... anyways happy with the rise...
Hopefully next RNS is about Wressle start-up having commenced.
no mate - a snide way for one director to get 8k out of the company assuming it is only for 4 months.
Talk about taking cash from the company - why did they not try Tesco or Sainsburys at 2.5% APR?
Disgraceful!
RKH Sea Lion TD was 2700m!
Steady on people, RKH sealion was between 2-3km if I re-call - even if we are at a similar depth we still have some ways to go...
Star, I think you are over analysing things. Best wait until the end of next week when more info may be available.
Nice rise but clearly another leak for the mates.
VF - successful POSP will certainly lift the SP. On that basis It would be interesting if the Final FEED report incorporates revenue from sand bi-product. End of Feb early March all will be revealed with some positive updates along the way.
