IMO, you should always be a bit scared with shares. If you don't think this is good value, considering the risk, sell up or don't buy. Only commit funds you could afford to lose. Usually I would say spread between companies and sectors: that won't help when a dirty big pandemic arrives, however.

Chris, I think this is a red herring: sure you'd rather invest free of cgt, but if the company's events and opportunities mean the time is right, if the isa has no free cash you just invest outside it. You have any reasons?
