Very informative! Thank you
You've pretty much summed up some of the main reason for my holding in SAGA there Alnwick. Our Price targets are v similar too.
GLA
That’s fine Banbury. Everyone entitled to an opinion, I couldn’t care less if anyone agrees or disagrees with me tbh as none of us really know what will happen.
Those are just my assumptions based on what I believe future earnings will be.
Everyone has different ideas and opinions and that’s what makes a market and that’s why I love this game.
All the best
It's simple:
1) An unlocking of Travel now Covid is under control and will be beaten across the globe hopefully this year
2) Earnings as a result of the unlocking of travel turning losses into profits which will be transformational to the groups finances.
The investment case is quite simple here and no need to overthink it... we are essentially buying future travel earnings in perpetuity at a snip of the actual future value. Few realise this and are thinking far too short term.
I have many friends still working in the city who are starting to wake up to the investment potential here and some have started building v hefty positions now.
All the best.
Been accumulating here for the last couple of months. Future looks good I think and it currently appears to be mispriced even with the decent recent rise
I reckon Wallet Investor is massively undercooking us here.

Long term game here Sheltie. Life will return to normal, People will go cruising again.
All mine tucked away in the bottom draw :)
That's why reading the news and watching the news is a complete waste of time. I haven't done either in years and my investment returns have never been better.
MSM should be abolished imo... they are purely fear mongerers as they know that is what sells.
It's a steady stream of bad news isn't it. I wouldn't be surprised if it all unravels pretty quickly tbh as they've clearly got serious cash issues with all the RNS's r.e refinancings etc.
The management teams are clearly incompetent
I agree Icecool. Like I've said all along, patience is key.
Only those with patience and a strong stomach will be able to stick it out for the long run.
My 2-3 year holding period remains the same and my price target stays the same. I won't bore you all with another repeat of my price target haha!
Good luck all and stay strong :)
Most things on my watchlist are in the red at the moment. It seems to be a very grumpy market that is either consolidating ready for a move up or a general decline is on the cards. Impossible to predict of course.
Doesn't matter too much in the short term in my opinion as Fundamentals and earnings will win in the end and thus be reflected in the share price.
All the best
Hey Banbury, I was indeed! Don’t miss those days haha!
The main debt you talk of is not debt in a traditional sense, it’s asset backed by the ships thus significantly earnings enhancing. So in essence they will be generating far more from the earnings of those assets as they sweat them over time than the low cost of the ship loans. (And they are extremely low cost - about 3% from memory)
The actual business debt was largely paid off when they did the refinancing:)
That’s the big misconception of the debt position here... it’s nowhere near as bad as people think it is :)
Bond payment not an issue imo but get why people may be tetchy. Same with the competitions review.
All in all though risk/reward seems super duper here I reckon.
All the best
That's fair enough Banbury.
Time will tell and we will see....
People remain far too pessimistic imo and many can't see past the current doom & gloom media nonsense. Life will return to normal and people will go on holiday again.
£12-15 is my estimate based on a 15 multiple.
Twonk
Results read really well imo and the recovery potential is obvious to see even for the skeptics. Just need the government nod now on the resumption of travel which hopefully won't be too far off.
2-3 year price target remains unchanged.
All the best
I’m 42 but look about 50 after all those long days working in the city back in my younger days!
You're insights are great Beachbum :) Keep it up
Salcombe
Thanks for the insight Beachbum.
We have to all stay calm and patient and remember that everything that is currently going on in the media etc is just noise!
Hold strong my friends and this will be a very lucrative investment over the next few years. The current mkt cap of SAGA is laughable considering the future earning potential.
