Couldn't agree more
very encouraging
But in this case they are not providing a death spiral, if anything it tells me that they are canny investors and they see upside in the business
Cash on balance sheet at year end 2015 = £1.84m minus £300k from today's announcement = £1.54m Add to this the value of an AIM listing of £500k and the on-going business is valued at zero!
What did she say?
There seem to be a few people worried about anything that Odey holds in a decent number as he is suffering large redemptions following recent bad performance. The worry us that he tries to dump his holding here to meet redemptions. Personally I think that we are too illiquid and that his holding is too big for him to dump here and we fit into his worldview on gold.

Pelham set out to raise just $5 million of new money by way of a Preference share issue by his forestry division Argento. But it was massively oversubscribed so he has raised a firm $14.25 million with a further $5 million waiting final sign-off by a major Asian institution. Nearly all the cash was raised out East where Pelham is based. Existing investors in forestry units will be converted on the same terms into these prefs which means that the total investment in Argento will be $22.95 million for a 22.5% stake. That means that Obtala’s stake in Argento is worth c$78 million. So Obtala has a forestry stake worth $78 million, its agricultural business and net cash of $15 million and is valued at just $55 million. You see what we mean when we said the shares were still cheap! Obtala will use the cash raised to invest in both forestry and agriculture bringing both to the point where they are both profitable cash generators rom next year. The board backed the funding heavily: Pelham invested $1.5 million, CEO Paul Dolan $250,000, COO Warren Deats $250,000 and NED Frank Scolaro $150,000.
Hi Charlies, Based on your calculation the market cap fails to fully recognise the value of forestry and doesn't even consider the agriculture. So hopefully we should see a good rise tomorrow. Shame that the runs didn't come out at 7am tomorrow, I can only think that it came out tonight to get some Asian money in before the weekend.
To be fair it is only back to where it has been recently although it's encouraging to see an uptick in volume.
Spill the beans LD, who is the real TF?
I put some of the points raised on here to Tom Whineyfroth and his cronies and so far they haven't managed to come back with anything. Given his enthusiasm fir the share I have to say I am disappointed.
It is noticeable on large up days that the buys are usually in the first hour of trading, could this be Asian buyers?
encouraging comments about progress in the timber and agriculture as well

you really are odious. I'm sure people are more than capable of using a translation tool if they want to read the story.
Sorry to say this but I have reduced my holding after reading the following. http://www.ekriti.gr/kriti-lasithi/ypothesi-kavo-sidero-allazoyn-oi-isorropies-me-ton-thanato-toy-eygenioy#sthash.ob7FQF9T.dpbs The extension brings the loan into play and potential for the new bishop to put a spanner in the works
The longer the hearing goes on, the worse it will be for us (or at least those of us with shares!) as they will be giving weighting to the dissenters rather than treating the process as a formality
I wasn't going to comment until the appeal hearing but in the light of the posts today I feel I have no choice. Approval at the appeal will see a price increase, being turned down will see the price go down. If the price rises enough I suspect there will be a placing, which would suggest that any rise would be capped before the rampers get hold of it too much. This would see the loan repaid and travel division recapitalised. Everything is down to the appeal hearing, let's all take a break on here until the result is known.
