Buying back at 8p again, and up she'll go! Sorry about your stop losses guys!!..Thems the games!
Also the drilling contract in Block XX will be with Petro-China. It is possible that MB is waiting for news on SL before taking those talks further as it could be used as leverage for a farm in with them in the Tugrug basin...Get them interested in SL and WH and then Block XX could be very cheap drilling.
Those large sells have been mopped up!..
Mikey,
For sure, the AIM is way too volatile for those who set stop losses, especially anywhere near the SP. Like you said the stop losses are always tested on AIM, especially prior to anything positive.
As I have no experience working on an oil rig, how long would drill stem testing take on average, lets say at 1300m down.
How long to remove all the drilling gear, send down all the testing gear, complete the testing, take it out and insert all the drilling gear again?

Lonestag,
So if we take all the information we have now, that means we wont have testing info until the end of September, early October at the earliest.
70 day for drilling, then de-mobolise drilling rig, then mobolise a testing rig and carry out tests at different levels.
I am only assuming here, but would they not run basic tests if the pressures and samples indicate a potential target?
How would they know if it was even worth bringing in a testing rig for?
Volumes are low, trades are low! We need a shot in the arm, site prep at wild horse, Block xx contracts, drilling update. Something, anything!!
What else do AAOG have on their programme if this drill is fruitless? Anything this year?
Correct Coffeecups, this has been pumped to the max. All the time ignoring that AAOG only have a 56% stake on average enough bod estimates. This drill is to try and increase volumes from an existing well. Everything below that is exploration!
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......Give it a break lads!
A few small buys after big sells and the price is on the up!
Lads, I dont know why the panic, if assumptions of drill progress are remotely accurate, roughly 45-50m/day, we might only be through the first target in the last day or two. Give it time.
People looking at other companies posting Twitter pictures of site fences and toilet cabins and getting all excited, such rubbish seems works in this social media age!
Nice de-ramping, what you put your order at?
I know volume is small, but buys are 3 times the sold and the price drops?
I get the feeling thats the idea. The MMs will be looking to clear a few of them at that price.
Would the cementing and casing not be included in their average metre/day based on the 93 wells?
Good post Skenny.
I suppose most of us consider the 70days to be quite a long time for the drill. Some also believe that this 70days includes testing after drilling has finished. So they are assuming TD at 50-60 days. It has been confirmed that the testing rig will be brought in after drilling so I dont know if we should assume this.
Some test can be carried out during the drill process but in the main testing to be completed after.
Definitely an attempt to trigger a few stop losses happens here every week!
Thats the thing, so much hanging on SL and in particular WH. If they come in then the Block XX drilling can be next year or whenever!!
